While the pizza was good and the establishment is nicely put together, the overall experience left more of an impression on me than the food. First...shout out to Amanda (hostess) for actually acknowledging my presence and doing so in a pleasant manner👍🏿. While I have never owned or operated a bricks and mortar storefront business, I am intimately aware of the value that good customer service has and unfortunately, despite previous reviews, Generations failed miserably in this arena. I will say that fortunate for the other 7-8 patrons present, this did not apply as they were thoroughly engaged with by two staff members (I believe the owner and his wife). Over the 10 minute period I was awaiting my pizza, there was absolutely no acknowledgement of my presence made by the two previously mentioned individuals, despite being only a bar width away from one. No attempts to find out how I learned about them, or offering me water while waiting, or a menu upon departing, or thanking me for my patronage, or asking me how the pizza looks, or requesting a review of the shop online, or offering me a napkin...As a brand new business, I would have thought it prudent for every effort to be made to engage with your new customer base, even if they look nothing like you, in order to provide a winning first impression to firmly embed your company in the community. Unfortunately, the only thing that was embedded in today's visit was a desire to find a more deserving business to support. Fortunately for the majority of my fellow Acworthians, I suspect this experience will not be shared although for the remaining...you've been made...
Read moreLooking for quad city style pizza look new further.! Where’d you even begin first off? You come through the door it just has a very hoy welcoming feeling. As greeted by the wait staff, and also the owners you feel right at home. As you order your drinks, which they have many to pick from, both Alcoholic and non-alcoholic. For starters, I strongly recommend the cheesy garlic bread. The blend of cheese that they put on it makes it creamy and it’s not overcooked. The pizza (all meat) (what we got) Was so tasty and delicious. You could taste the right amount of Canadian, bacon, sausage, and pepperoni. Let alone the blend of cheese was just perfect. The sauce not too heavy not too light. The main thing that my wife and I are picky about is the crust. It had good flavor to it and it wasn’t overcooked or undercooked even underneath the pizza was just had the perfect amount of crunch. If you never tried out generations, Pizza, I strongly do this is both a couple friendly and family, friendly environment that you can take kids to strongly recommend. Every weekend, the wife and I pick a place and do our date night going to generations. Pizza Makes it harder because we want to keep coming back. We will definitely...
Read moreI grew up in the New York city area, so I have very definite ideas about pizza. Generations is something special though. Don't get me wrong, it is not like my favorite from where I grew up, but that is probably more nostalgia than anything else. Generations crust is what sets it apart from every other pie that I have had in the metro Atlanta area. It is perfectly crisp without being dry. It has flavor that carries the toppings. I got half deluxe and half "all the meats." I don't ever put onions on my pizza. This allows the subtler flavors to come through. The sauce was on point and seasoned nicely. Not overly sweet like those places that sound like papa-hut-minoes. The cheese being on top was a different but welcome experience. All in all, Generations brought back that pizza joint feel I grew up with to be hit square in the kisser with a great pie for the win. Do yourself a favor and go to Generations and get some...
