Stop hiding the hand sanitizer behind a sign that one's has to move before being able to use it ! Start making everyone one wear masks again. especially in this area! They could have filmed The Hills Have Eyes in Southwick, and saved a lot on the makeup budget by hiring local talent. I know that the remodeling of a store is sometimes necessary.I accept that, and I usually adapt to the changes fairly rapidly, but this remodel, what a nightmare! Things in places that seem to follow no logic.things in refrigerator cases too high, where no one looks.Products in extremely narrow regimented places. It all blurs together. They claim to have added thousands of new items, but they neglect to mention that have far fewer selections within a any given brand, and far less in the aisles leading to not finding enough of what one really wants. The items that they put on sale to draw one in are almost always out of stock. This remodel is so poor that they have to keep onions snd potatoes under curtains and tarps, because the genius who designed this didn't even know what type of lightning to put in the produce areas to keep things from sprouting and light damage. Update; They seem to have done away with the tarps covering the potatoes and onions .did they fix the lighting? Time will tell ,but if I get another bag of rotting onions I am done with the produce here. The black stuff on your onions is dangerous mold; Apergillus niger to be exact The grinders used to have a lot more in them, you know good old fashioned things like deli meat, and cheese, not just bread and lettice.the person who is responsible for the remodel seems to have advised on how to pay for it too! Speaking of things deli related, half of the people who work there don't listen,or are passive agressive, you ask for thin ,they slice thick. Don't they get paid enough yet? One woman that works there had a hissy fit, because I didn't ask to get my cheese before getting meat sliced, apparently she had cleaned the machines an hour before the deli closed, and didn't want to be bothered! Banging the metal parts of the slicer together,as hard as she could, shaking her head, and muttering under her breath,in a very obvious way .H I S S Y ! Of course, there are many nice, pleasant people that work there as well.. I thought that I Ihad foundI a bargain in the eggs wow 1.59 a dozen, believe me that is a wow price for this place,it is just too bad that they were all stale ,no matter how gently I cracked them and put them in the pan the yoke ran immediately. I could go on, but I'm sure you get a general idea of what this place has become. Maybe they could get wifi that works? Since this covid 19 business began their bakery has gone down hill the muffins used to be good now they are awful. I hope that they don't use this epidemic to put out inferior goods permanently. I'd rather eat little Debbie's snacks then these things! The last greater I bought tasted awful. So, I took it apart and the lettuce was pure slime and I do mean slime. It wasn't even recognizable for the most...
Read moreThe Feeding Hills, MA Stop & Shop has undergone quite a few changes over the years. Most have not been an improvement. I've noticed a few stores, including this one, decided to put the frozen fish w/fresh fish. No! Frozen goods should all be together. At first it seemed to be that they simply integrated the organic foods into the regular aisles, which would have been super. But instead, there are some integrated & some w/special little sections within the aisles. Confusing. They added a small butcher case, which is nice. But the other meat and chicken has several different places to try to go find it. Just put all of the meat together & all of the chicken together. Please. They have reduced the variety & selection, eliminated so many things we bought on a regular basis and are consistently out of stock on some of our staple items since they changed the store around. Disappointing. Also, 3 of the Stop&Shops we visit (Enfield & Windsor, CT & Feeding Hills, MA) have forgotten to give us our meat/fish when we do have a bagger. Of course, we rarely have a bagger. đ With the amount of money we have spent there, baggers would sure be appreciated. And it would be great if they trained them. The cold stuff goes in the insulated bags & heavy stuff doesn't go on top of bread. My husband just recently had to drive back to the store to get the meat (left/kept behind by bagger) for our dinner. Again. And once the Feeding Hills store accidentally gave me someone else's strawberries & bananas. So I called them to let them know. They requested that I bring them back that day. Seriously. Hard to believe, but I actually did. Wait, why do I...
Read moreThe Feeding Hills Stop and Shop has gone to absolute CRAP. We spend over $1500 a month at this store and I am DONE with the this place. Constantly out of stock, negligible seafood which is all previously frozen and ALL farm raised. The biggest problem is the incompetent deli staff they employ now. They are lazy and have resigned to mediocrity. Donât even THINK to ask for âthinlyâ sliced cheese that youâre paying $12 a pound for because their answer is âwe canât slice thinâ even though they offer a descriptive thickness selection chart that after years of no issue, they now canât deliver on. Apparently it causes the machine to âclogâ and then âthey have to clean itâ. Isnât that part of the job? To provide on demand service to the customer within reason and guidance that THEY provide? Seriously? So as a consumer Iâm expected to PAY for a product that doesnât meet my need? Maybe hire people that actually take pride in their job and donât push back on the consumer as though they are âburdeningâ the staff to get a desirable product. Absolutely pathetic. Officially DONE with this place. So embarrassed and disgusted by the âstandardsâ they now deem reasonable. Apparently, anything thinner than this attached photo is an unacceptable requestâŠ. What a JOKE. $12 for dog crap I wonât eatâŠhigh class accommodation is not in their value proposition. Save yourself time, frustration and moneyâŠ...
