I was craving ramen tonight and definitely did not want to cook so I decided to give these people a try. Thought they would be good since they have a 4.6 star rating, but after ordering from them idk how. It took them an hour to make it and when I got there I still had to wait an extra 10min on top of the 1 hour. When I opened the container I could immediately tell that it was cooked earlier in the day and quickly microwaved hot. 5 bites in and I tasted the ramen was not fresh. I was putting the ramen in my bowl when this small wooden object was in the container as you can see in the picture. Now after that i decided to read deeper into the reviews and I see a REVIEW FROM A WEEK AGO WHERE A LADY STATES HER FAMILY HAD FOOD POISONING FROM THEIR TAKEOUT! I QUICKLY STOP EATING AND TOSS THE FOOD AS I AM PREGNANT AND THERES NO WAY I CAN GET FOOD POISONING. This is a so disappointing to spend money on food that after a few bites makes you nervous and ultimately discard from others who expressed concern about the food. Please STOP SERVING PEOPLE this disgusting poisoning food. If you are better at dine in food than maybe stick to that, but i dnt see how dinning in would be any better. I would have been more satisfied with a $1 ramen noodle cup rather than a $15 ramen noodle and with mysterious objects in my food, God knows what else was in there.
I buy local and pay a premium in some cases, every week to purchase eggs, milk and produce from local businesses and farmers but i cannot support this business....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecor is so-so, service could also be improved. The staff was chatting behind us the whole time while 2 TVs blared an airing of Dr Phil and some other reality TV show. Definitely could use some work in the atmosphere department.
The food was also okay. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Katsu Curry, and the Special Kaisen Roll.
The broth of my ramen was satisfactory, but the toppings looked a little halfassed. Instead of a whole ramen egg, they cut it in half and only serve you one half. The beansprouts were soggy and wilted, the corn was sparse, the spring onion was almost nonexistent. The pork was also chewy and hard, it felt like microwaved leftovers. The waiting time was also a bit long for the food.
The Kaisen Roll was beautifully presented but the taste was a letdown. The flavours get lost with so much of everything muddying the experience, it was overwhelmingly linear in terms of flavour.
The curry tasted like it came from a cube of instant japanese curry that you can buy at the Asian store, but they add veggies like broccoli and then some broth.
The strongest point they have are their serving sizes as well as the presentation. I can't say much else really. I might revisit just to give it another chance, I'm sure they can...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSpicy seafood. Ramen. The broth tasted like siracha added to luke warm water. The seafood was nearly non existent. I found three salad size shrimp one tiny calamari ring and one tiny canned muscle in the bottom of the container. I ordered extra ramen boosting the price to 21.00 for this. The ramen was placed in a separate container. It was dried out as if it had been packaged much before the soup was concocted. (Like hours before) It was unlike any ramen Iāve ever had. The texture was that of thin spaghetti because thatās what it was. The difference being that it was sitting around for a while. I called the restaurant to let them know what I thought of there $21.00 ramen. They politely put me on hold as soon as they answered. After 5 1/2 minutes on hold I was able to speak with someone. She was apologetic but wanted me to return the dish to the restaurant so they could remake it. I enjoyed the sushi we ordered. We have had sushi many times in the past. It has always been good. We spent over $100 for this dinner for two. We donāt mind spending for good food. Itās a forty minute round trip to drive this concoction back to them. We chose to spend our time doing other things. The same thing we will do next time we have a...
