Food Lion — Local services in Aiken County

I visited this store yesterday, 1/9/23. Upon checkout, I encountered the best cashier that I have ever came into contact with in my 34 years of living. He was SO kind, joyful, and "happy to be working, living, and breathing". Mind you, this wonderful young man seemed to be a teenager still in school, and that's not what I normally expect from young employees anywhere. I asked to speak with his boss, but he had already left for the day. His joyful, professional demeanor made such an impact on me that I called the store this morning and also called the 1800 number to make sure they know what a gem they have working for them. This young man's name is Kobe and I know he will do great things in life. Praise God for such wonderful people still existing to brighten up our days! I hope his Mother knows that she did a wonderful job raising him!!!

Also, the store was clean and well kept. It was amply staffed with multiple registers open and no long wait. This store gave me the vibe of an old school small town store....

June 10 8:00pm cashier on lane 1 was spraying her lane belt with sanitizer and it was wet so I put my 2 items on a small spot that’s dry. She rings up her customer and then when my items come rolling down the belt she flings them backwards so she can spray the little dry spot. No she did not move them nicely, she aggressively threw them down the lane belt in a frustrated manner. I picked up my stuff, put it on a random place and then walked out, that was the most disgusting behavior I’ve ever dealt with at a grocery store. I go to this food lion multiple times a week but I won’t be back. If you go there in the evening watch out, the staff is terrible and they don’t care about being rude, it’s obvious they want to be as terrible as possible. If they are terrible, less people will come in. They got it figured out.

I won’t be back, hostile employees, they shouldn’t be working in customer service if they have anger...

I placed an online order with this exact store … they charged my acct TWICE for the order. Then only filled 2 items out of 5… I never picked them up. It’s not worth the store trip for 2 items. WEEKS have went by, I’ve called 17 times no help. I spoke to Chris this stores manager…. No help from him. I called food lion 800 to be told I’ll get a refund. STILL NO REFUND!!!! This place is garage. Do not shop here!!! $46…… flushed away!!!! The employees, the manager, nobody knows how to cancel an order or refund a customer. That’s a darn shame. Pathetic. Now I have to file a claim with my bank against food lion!!! Bs
