KJ's Market — Local services in Aiken County

The store is clean. The workers are polite. But, much to my chagrin I feel that $1.99 is too much for just gravy. I went to the deli section to purchase hot breakfast. I feel that $1.99 is reasonable for grits. But, I like my grits with gravy. It makes them oh so luxurious, and they have both! The worker served up my grits and gravy, placed them in a styrofoam to go plate and placed a price tag of $3.79. I paused as I realized the gravy almost doubled the cost of the plate. This was not a full breakfast. This was just grits and gravy, not even cheese grits. I questioned the price and the deli worker placed a price tag on my meal with a new price of $3.98. So, grits and gravy, and not a whole breakfast meal, are now four dollars!? I would normally just file this away as just a high priced item, but I have paid $1.49; $1.99; and $2.49 for the same item recently. I brought it to the attention of a guy that claimed to be a manager and he walked over to the same worker that served the plate and asked her how much the gravy costs. She, of course replied $1.99. So ill start by saying I dont think I was rude about it at all. They had no sign posting a limit for the hams on sale so I grabbed 3 because im on a budget and it is cheaper than alot of other meats that way. She says I can only get 1 so I say sorry I didnt know I didnt see a sign. You guys should put one up so others dont try to grab multiple and save you some hassle. Try to ring up the coupon through their app and it doesnt work so they call someone up and she has me ring it up separately. I saw the discount pop up and thought well it seems high but the discount is there. I get home and see they added and then subtracted the discount so I would think I got it and charged me full price. Multiple other things didnt pop for the coupon sales. Everything else is overpriced so if I cant even get the sales nothing is worth it at kjs. Go to Lidl. This was my first visit at a KJ's Market - I entered at 15 minutes until closing and only wanted IceCresm and Pepsi's. And what aggravates me more than anything is for staff, to "Continue" to say we are closing in 15 Minutes, We are closing in 12 Minutes, We are closing in 10 Minutes, etc. They want you to get out of the store! I would forbid my staff to "push customers " out the door, when I managed Food Service Establishments - I find this very rude, I think they need to be nice, and kind and perhaps make an announcement offering to help any customer that needs something, or help customers get what they came for. The stores are "actually " losing sales by pushing customers out the door, they loose focus and forget items. I would bet I could show a same store sales increase.
