Save A Lot — Local services in Akron

I was at the Tallmadge Ave. location yesterday...Sun May 27 at the time posted on the front door. In BIG letters...NEW STORE HOURS &AM -10:00PM. I arrived at 7:34 and the doors were locked. There were other customers there as well...NOT happy. We observed a male stocking shelves toward the back of the store shelves...no cashiers or other personnel. Today I tried to call for about an hour, and the line stays busy. I called Midway and was told that they would send an email because the phone could be off the hook. They advised me to call back in a few minutes. Here it is 15 minutes later, and it is STILL busy. THIS store LOST my business. SOme customers announced they were going to the Midway Plaza. When I arrived there , they were again waiting. But at least the sign on the door displayed the accurate time for opening. I did not wait. I went to Giant Eagle. I may have paid more, but I saved time. NOT A...

This is the most ghetto Save A Lot I've been to. A dark skinned woman who I believe to be the manager and another employee were out front smoking weed when I was walking in. The aisles had very little room to walk down due to overstock items being left there. As I was leaving, the same manager was in the parking lot yelling at the security guy for getting carts. It was just very unprofessional. The "Manager" didn't seem to be managing her store as she should have been. Im assuming that would be hard to do from OUTSIDE the store, where she seemed to be my whole time at the store. I heard an employee (He was a stocker) talking to someone saying it was his first day there and he didn't plan on returning for his next shift. That bad, huh?

On a positive note, I will say the shelves were fully stocked though. The security was friendly and greeted us when we walked in. The cashier that checked us out was...

I don't dislike the place. It eas this visit that one the female assistant manager was rude and short with me.She was doing book work on belt i ask her could she check a price she just turn the ilght on and said i am open i told her the light wasn't on then rudely she said wellnits on now and the vanillas wafers is priced on the asile.I didn't get them off the aisle they came out this bin in front of register. .Well give them here ill check them ..1.49 do u want them or not.Yes i wanted 3 well get them i can't ring them untit u do.4 steps away .Next time bring them up when you come .i ask the price to make sure i had enoigh money..yea but noe 8 have other customers behind you.Im sorry i said.i was lesving wishing there was the other store closer.l than this one..i go there 4 to 5...
