This place sucks as you can see there is another review where they customer wasn't able to pick up their dog until midnight. I called them Tuesday and asked when the next availability would be for a 90 pound pittbull who just needed a bath and nail trim. I dropped him off around 11am because they said bring him now they have time to groom him. Typically my groomer takes 30 minutes and an hour MAXIMUM. Around 2pm I called them to see what happened and they said my dog wasn't ready yet. I found this a little suspicious but understood they could be busy so I waited and they let me know they would call me. At 5 o'clock when I didn't get a call I showed up without a notice and they said my dog was taking a while because he was giving a them a hard time with the nail trimming. My dog is 9 years old and has been to the groomers since he was a puppy. He is very familiar with the grooming services and I've never gotten complaint from ANY groomer or vet about his nail trimming. I told them bring my dog out immediately even if he isn't finished. They tried to charge me for a bath but he wasn't bathed all they did was spray his head with cologne to give the illusion of a bath. But feeling his chest and belly and his odd smell I can tell he was not even bathed! To top it all off NOT EVEN ONE NAIL WAS CLIPPED!! THEY THINK THEY CAN LIE ABOUT ATTEMPTING A NAIL TRIMMING TO JUSTIFY THE 4 HOURS OF MY DOG THERE WITHOUT SERVICE? AND THEN THEY TRY TO CHARGE FOR A JOB THEY DIDN'T DO AND LIE AND MAKE ILLUSIONS.
Seems like I am not the first people they have done this to and certainly will not be the last.
THEY SUCK THEY ARE TRASH THEY KEEP YOUR DOGS IN CAGE AND LIENABOUT AVAILABILITY AND LIE ABOUT SERVICES THEY HAVE PERFORMED. PLEASE KEEP YOUR PETS AND FAMILY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THESE MEN AND COMPANY.
Also they are cash only VERY SKETCHY.
PLEASE DO...
Read moreWe took our dog here twice. The first time was around Christmas time so as expected they were really busy, however, they were able to squeeze us in since our dog was extremely matted and needed to be shaved down completely. We dropped him off in the morning and didnât get an estimate as to when they would finish. Around 6pm I started calling and texting them as I was getting concerned(I take my other dog to PetSmart and I had never had to pick her up this late), they told me they hadnât started him since they had had a lot of dogs that day which I understood. Around 9pm I drove there since they wouldnât pick up the phone and waited until they finished around 9:45pm. We paid $100 that time. The second time they told us from the begging that it would cost between $150-$170 since his coat was a little matted and needed extra brushing time. We dropped him off again in the am and didnât hear back until after 9pm. They said one of their groomers had to leave early and they were running behind. At 11pm I texted them I would pick him up and didnât care if he wasnât finished. At this point he had been there over 12 hrs and I imagine he was kept in a cage. We picked him up at midnight, he wasnât finished and they offered us to bring him back which we did so they could finish him. We paid $170 and will not be returning. I donât care how âaffordableâ this place is. My dog was kept in a cage over 12hrs and they didnât bother to let me know from the beginning. If they wouldâve told me they would have started working on him at 11pm I would have brought him in at that time. Very unprofessional. Saddest part is when we picked him up, three more people were waiting in their cars outside. I canât imagine bringing your dog to a groomer where pick up time is midnight. Oh and they only take cash and the whole place...
Read moreI have been taking multiple dogs to Carrie for grooming for a long time. They come back gorgeous. I have a hairy hairless Chinese Crested, and this breed is not all that common. I took him to Carrie the first time when he was 8mos old (he will be 6 in July). This is even before she opened the current shop. If you know anything about Chinese Cresteds, they are hairless. A recessive gene causes some of them to grow courser hair on their bodies. Some of these can become painfully ingrown & infected so regular grooming is required. I found Carrie on Craigslist & was oh so grateful! I'd tried a few others, but as these dogs are not common, most groomers have never had to groom one. It is easy to burn their delicate skin w/a hot blade, but Carrie constantly checks & changes blades so as not to burn him. He's fussy about his face, but she takes extra time & care so he's handsome.
I have 7 dogs & Carrie sees all of them in some form (baths, nails, ears, etc). 1 is a Border Collie & 1 is a Papillon mix. Both long-haired & when they visit ARFordable Pet Grooming, they come back w/flowing, shiny fur, clean ears & nice, short nails. I would never use any other groomer & am glad it is ARFordable. However, I so stand by Carrie & her team, I would pay more bc they are...
