Winn-Dixie — Local services in Alafaya

This Winn-Dixie is on E. Colonial, in front of it now sits a soon to open Culvers. Across the street from the Advent Health. It sits back in front of a huge parking lot. The supermarket is big, with a nicely stocked produce section, deli section, meat department with a butcher and even a big bakery department. All types of bread are made and croissants.

I love that every week I get delivered right to my mail box a Winn-Dixie weekly ad. This circular sits on my counter, when I am ready to make my weekly grocery list, I peruse it very carefully. I find it deeply satisfying to find my favorite products and produce on sale. I love me a BOGO and they have them frequently. What I usually look for and oftern find is ice cream, Häagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's. Also, butter, Kerrygold and Land O'Lakes. If you're a fan of Tillamook, you will find them here, shredded cheese, block cheese, snacking cheese and cream cheese, because Walmart does not carry them.

Another thing I like about this Winn-Dixie is that they are the only ones in my area that rent the big Bissell carpet cleaner with all the accessories/attachments like the tool to shampoo the stairs.

This store seems to be changing. Could not find things I normally buy. It was frustrating. One worker said they were remodeling, but all I saw were big changes in the stock they carry. I hope they fix things soon. They seem to be finished with the changes, nice store, still shop here but don't like the changes. Okay I am adding on to this. It's July 8th 2019, went grocery shopping here today. What is going on with this store?!?!?!?!!! Seem to really be pushing store brands, shelf's are empty of the buy one get one. They had NO whole milk. The products we normally buy seem to be no more. I don't know who bought Winn Dixie but you need to fix your stores or I will be shopping elsewhere! No cashier's, no one bagging. I had 2 full carts I did myself and just when I was finishing a girl comes an said I will finish that for you, ......ummmm no I did all of it I will finish this last tiny bit. I don't like that they are in new hands now, new owners. They just don't carry what they used to. It's a shame! Like every where else it's hit and miss, but I still love this store! It's still hit and miss on items, but in all fairness it's like that everywhere. But...

Go in on a Saturday and only 2 check out lanes open being manned by some kids in their late teens to early 20s that seem to have no sense of urgency of getting their jobs done and LONG lines of customers waiting to check out. So I decide to use self checkout (which is bs because why should I be forced to do your job) and the computer screws up and doesn't put some of my items on my checkout and since I'm actually an honest person so I tell the girl working at the self check area and she instructs me to go to customer service which does not get the shift manager as I requested. I explain how the computer messed up and how it's costing me time and he tries to tell me it's my fault because the computers are a certain way. Then after finishing my ring up, the manager named "joel" comes over and offers no discount, no compensation no anything for my hassle and loss of time. Just says he knows those computers are junk and a lip service apology. But nothing actually of substance for the loss of my time and the hassle of it all. So screw this place and it's lazy staff. My family will be shopping at publix...
