If I could give lacks 0 stars... I would. Let me tell you about my experience with Lacks. About 6 months ago, I pruchased some couches on sale. I was told by the woman who was helping through the process that I was approved for the plan they were offering of 6 months with 0 interest. I repeated everything she said to me with my mother on the phone,in front of the woman. I then asked her about 4-5 times afterwards if this was correct. She assured me that it was and that once the 6months was over with that I would start having to pay interest. She then told me to give 218.00 dollars down, in which I did. During these months i paid my payments, even doubled up on a payment so I could pay them off before the 6mths. On the month of September 2018 I went to go pay, which was either my last payment or 2nd to last payment. When I went in to make this payment... I was informed that I was receiving interest since day one. Not only was I informed about that, but I was also told that I had given 120 down payment and not the 218.00. I left upset and called the main office, who then told me its not their fault.. And for me to call back to the Alice office. The woman who answered the phone, sent me to the woman who sold the couches to me...who then briefly said, "I don't recall selling those couches to you,let me transfer you to our main office in Pharr". Then she cut me off and transferred me. (Let me add that I have stayed very calm throughout this whole matter, not once did I cuss or raise my voice)
Once I was on the phone with main office, she told me I wasnt approved for these couches and then transferred me to her "Director". The Director was the worst of them all. I explained everything to him, in which he kept saying, "This will all be reported to your credit and Im not the one who sold you the couches so Its not me you need to talk to. Call Alice Office." I told him... First of all (Now you know a woman is upset when she says this)
First of All Sir, Ive been lied to. Im not sure if the woman who sold me the couches works off of commission but its not right how she did me. Not only did she lie, but my down payment isnt correct either. He then tells me that he is looking at my account and says, "It says here that you purchased the couches, then returned them 2minutes later & repurchased them" ... Why would anybody do that? (I said) Then he says, "You only owe one payment of 56.00 dollars. Surely you can pay that? " (In which later on he backtracked and said I owed 300.00)
My response was... "I see we are not getting anywhere with this, may I speak to your supervisor? Manager? Because someone needs to be fired, reimbursed ,and understanding. "
He then gives me a FAKE boss name and tells me the man will give me a call tomorrow.
The reason I knew it was a fake boss name because I called back to the Pharr office and asked for that man ,in which the people tell me that there is no man within the building or business with that name. I have yet to hear back from them. So here I am paying for some couches I shouldve been done paying, with money missing from my down payment .
Its up to you iF you want to continue with business from this place. I will never EVER buy another thing from this place again. And everybody I come across who asks about this place I will tell them my experience . So they too may know how they operate and will not be screwed over like I was.

For $1,300 you'd think I'd receive the matching set I'm paying for. My fiance and I received the box spring with the Restonic Mattress that we had to return due to the fact that it was sagging and extremely uncomfortable. That matters is horrible. I don't recommend it to anyone. The fine print stated they'd replace the mattress not the box springs but like I said I'm paying for a matching set and we actually received the box spring unstapled and the edge coming off. We were told someone would come and repair it but it's a month later and no one has came. We've requested it twice. I'd prefer not to have to ask for a repair on a brand new box spring, let alone on one that don't match the mattress I've purchased. One sales representative stated that she don't sale Restonic brand mattresses to anyone and led me to the BeautyRest section after I returned a Restonic yet there's 4-5 different Restonic models there in the store. I am just very unsatisfied with my whole experience. I'm not even satisfied with the mattress I ended up with. I was talked out of a plush pillow top and told to go with the regular plush because after a few years it would be too soft. Big mistake by letting myself be pressured by someone else's opinion vs what my body felt comfortable with. I don't like to oppose anyone or complain but it's only right I post this and save it from happening to someone else . This model was honestly too firm for me and now I can't do anything about it. They do not have a big selection, so naturally after we weren't satisfied with the Restonic we wanted to go elsewhere but again, the fine print stated we must purchase from that particular store. A month ago the lever spring broke but not from abuse, am the only user. Called Lacks they said call factory for spring. When I said I needed a part the person said: The spring, right? Factory said they weren't allowed to sell parts to end customers and to call Lacks to get one. Called Lacks and they said they couldn't sell me a spring or repair my recliner after 2 years.
