Burger King — Restaurant in Alice

Showed up half hour before the lunch rush, took almost 8 minutes before someone came over the speaker to even acknowledge us. There were only three other cars there. Then told someone would be right with us, waited another 7 minutes before able to place our order. We were then informed that they were out of fries! So we just ordered a chicken sandwich, a whopper and two large sodas. The sandwiches were supposed to be on the but one get the other for $1. We finally got to the window 25 minutes after we first pulled in to the drive thru. The young girl at the window was hard to understand, so couldn't hear what the total was. Handed my debit card to her, she ran the card then handed it back and then the two drinks. She brought the bag with the sandwiches but still did not give me a receipt, I had to ask for me. Then I looked at the total ...$16.41 for two sandwiches, one of which should be $1 and two large sodas about 2.50 each!!! Unless a whopper is now $10, that doesn't add up. So, I tapped on the window and told the girl she over charged me, that one of the sandwiches should be only a in dollar and tried to show her on the receipt she gave me. She said no, she didn't, punched something on her screen, then a second receipt printed and she said it's shows that the whopper is full price, $5.19, and the chicken sandwich is 4.99 and discounted by 3.99. I told her I didn't care what her receipt showed, she just charged me $16.41 and that is not discounted. So then she finally decided to refund me the difference, but instead of putting it back on my card, she gives me cash. As she is handing it out the window she didn't have a good hold of it and one of the dollar bills blew out of her hand as she was putting it in my hand. She didn't even act like she cared. Just walked away, instead of offering to get another one from the register. So, I had to get out of the car in the drive thru, and walk around looking for the dollar. 12-20-23: not a horrible experience. But it was far from great. This location needs to step it up by now. I had an online order but still wanted to order extra. But the cashier kept waking away. Our sprites were Dr peppers and they were flat. My son's apple sauce was missing. My 12 piece chicken fries was shorted and old/hard. Fries were old and cold. The burgers were dry. Okay, maybe it was a horrible experience.

2022 Updated: our most recent visit was a success. I'm hoping it's want a fluke. Food was on point. Service was exceptional. After having a chat with new manager, I feel confident this location is back on track. I'm raising my previous rating from 1 star to 3. I currently can't give them 5 yet, because I've had one good visit or of maybe 15. But I'm more than willing to make another visit soon.

2022: Everytime we decide to give them another chance, they mess up again. We usually need travel to Kingsville or Calallen to get Burger King. We made 5 orders, 3 online and two in person. Our online orders weren't ready because they forgot what we ordered. All our non burger food was old and cold. Some orders or food was wrong. Plus, I was overcharged.

Just an added fact: others have had issues here too. When I ask were someone wants to eat, Burger King is usually first off the list. And no wonder it's always...

Avoid BK in Alice at all times. Every time I drive by the parking lot is a ghost town for serving breakfast and lunch. I’ve been there 2 times, and I can tell this is going downhill. Trust me, this restaurant is a black sheep in the family. My suggestion is going to BK in Calallen.

For some unknown reason at the drive thru right next to the menu screen and conform your order, they made me wait 5 minutes until they’re done with something inside even though there are barely customers inside. It’s nothing but teenage workers who are selfish and waiting for an easy cash grab to mess up your order on purpose.

One time, the teenager girl who’s a cashier simply cannot correct my order. My order was a whopper with large onion rings (they said they don’t have large cups anymore) with 8-piece chicken nuggets. She asked me to pull around to the side and they will deliver my order. She forgot about me and gave a burger with regular fries. This restaurant was built 11 years ago and 11 years of entitlement.
