For a small town theater, Plaza IV is fairly good for what it offers which is a far cheaper alternative to the big name theaters that are an hour drive away. The ticket pricing is far more affordable but the caveat to this is that the four individual theaters have varying degrees of issues with them, ranging from subpar sound systems with speakers that aren't balanced well so it might be hard to hear quieter, dialog heavy scenes to the actual screens themselves having small smudges on them that are hard to notice. Likewise, in the past there used to be an arcade in the corner to kill time before a movie but now it's gone so there's not much to do inside so there's little incentive to really arrive early.
That being said, the staff is extremely friendly and if you just want to watch a movie that you're mildly interested in without breaking the bank than this is the perfect...
Read moreRidiculous management. Took my daughter and her 2 friends to see "the nun" as that was her movie of choice to celebrate her birthday. The manager at the ticket register asked how old the girls were and said it was fine because they are over 12. She specifically asked "are they over 12?"- husband and I sat down to see a different movie. Next thing we know we are being pulled out and told the girls can't see the nun because no adult is with them... So now we're stuck watching it. Meanwhile husband and I are both 7th grade teachers and several of our students came this past weekend to watch the movie without parents... Interesting. Why again did they ask if they were over 12? Oh and FYI, there are a bunch of families with small children here (kids are 7,8,9 yrs old) watching the nun. So. .. Point is, go into Corpus to watch movies. This...
Read moreI really try to avoid negative reviews but this one, I wish I could give no stars but I am so disappointed! I purchased tickets for the 8:30 showing, get my tickets, get told to go to the wrong theater room (thinking y’all had just changed rooms) and just to find out she gets me in the 8:00 showing without informing me and my daughter we would be missing a part of the movie because the other showing room glitches. I’m sorry but give me the option before we’re sitting in the middle of the movie. I tell her the movie has already started and she tells me she knows and still doesn’t explain. For Christ sake, look at the tickets and tell the customers what’s going on instead of trying to play it off. It’s was my only day this week to have a girls night with my daughter. I should have just kept driving to Corpus. It’s just...
