When I called, Myrna answered the phone. I told her that I was having issues with my refrigerator/freezer, that it suddenly seemed to stop working and that the compressor wasn't engaging after the refrigerator/freezer were open for a long time and that the food seemed to start defrosting (I was wrong, more about this later). She talked to me about the make and model of the refrigerator and asked many questions to troubleshoot what the issue could be. She seemed to be very knowledgeable about the refrigerator business, and the right questions to ask. She was able to answer general pricing questions, questions about general lifespans of this Frigidaire refrigerators, and more. I scheduled a service with her and Gardena Appliances for the following day after she told me their availability.
I ended up unplugging the refrigerator for a while (her recommendation; in case something was electrically wrong it wouldn't cause a fire). Randomly I plugged it back in after about an hour, just to see if something would change. After all, the refrigerator started working on its own. I texted Myrna that I no longer needed the service and she gave more helpful advice about what to look out for if we had any issues with the fridge in the near future. Although I never received any direct repairs, the value of information I received from the Gardena Appliances staff and the quoted estimate prices all contributed to me writing a positive review. Thanks...
Read moreMar 2022: Myrna is an angel. She came out to replace the igniter in an older dryer model that was diagnosed by another technician who wanted to charge me $350 to replace. When she got there and installed the igniter she said that the igniter was not the problem. The part that needed replacing isn't available any more so she suggested buying a good used dryer that she had available. Later she came back out to install the used dryer and the entire cost for her diagnostic, the used dryer, and installation was less than the price of what the other tech was charging just to replace an igniter that didn’t need replacing. I will never call another appliance company! Myrna is highly recommended.
Jan 2023: Myrna saved the day again! Our dryer stopped tumbling because the belt was worn out from overloading it with too many clothes. On short notice she came out and replaced the belt and instructed us NOT to overload the dryer. The only appliance repair company I will ever call.
Sep 2024: Myrna saved the day again. Replaced a busted pump in the washer. All is well now. Thanks again!!

Read moreThis is a review that's months overdue. Several months ago Myrna and Jose from Gardena Appliances did an outstanding job fixing a Whirlpool Top-Loading Washer for my Tenant. This is after another "professional" who my Tenant found on social media (I was out of town) came by and did a very incomplete job trying to fix their Washer. This "professional" lied to my Tenant about what he put into the Washer and installed an incompatible replacement part. My Tenant had no idea until shortly after the Washer stopped working again.
I came back into town and was notified of what happened. I instantly contacted Gardena Appliances from my previous great experiences with them. Myrna and Jose are true professionals. It's clear they care about doing good quality work, and do what's in the best interest of the customer. Unfortunately that's becoming more and more rare these days. Really appreciate you Myrna and Jose for your professionalism and consistently great...
