Worst place to order from in the morning, if you don't have a car and are in a rush to catch a bus for work. Today, I pre-ordered a food and drink for in person pick-up and headed over to the place, arriving a minute after the expected pick-up time. The doors were locked, even though the store hours online and on the door of the store say it opens at 5 am. It was 5:52 am when I was outside knocking on the door trying to get the staff's attention. One staff member saw me and quickly looked away while another continued to make drinks. I was knocking loudly repeatedly for about 3 minutes before the girl taking the drive thru orders turned around and signaled that I needed to wait 3 minutes for someone to come over and help me. I know 3 minutes passed because it was 5:55 am when I checked at the time after that girl signaled to me. I was in a hurry to catch my bus which is across the street and arriving in 6 minutes by that point, but thought it wouldn't be so bad to wait since I could see the food part of my order, along with other orders, waiting in the in person pick-up section and assumed they were making my drink when I didn't spot it on the counter. Then, the lady that wouldn't even look at me when I was knocking and trying to signal that my order was right there on the counter, finally comes over to a door, but it isn't the door I'm at and she starts walking back to the area where she came from because I'm not at the door she went toward, until I started knocking and waving again. Then she just looked at me like I was annoying and dumb and pointed at the door she was near. I then ran to the door she was near, just for her to take her time walking to the door and to tell me that they don't open until 6 am, when it clearly says 5 am on the sign by the door she is standing in front of. I then told her "I am here to pick up my order," giving her my name, and she just rolls her eyes and walks away after telling me to wait outside. I see her grab my food item and start walking toward me, but then she goes and places it back to where she got it and goes somewhere else. I realized then, that nobody even made my drink during the time it took me to get to the store and then get ignored, but they were somehow able to get drinks done for all the drive thru people and other people who hadn't arrived to pick-up their order from the walk-in counter. At that point, I really just wanted to ask for my food item and just leave, but as it was a pre-order, it was already paid for, and I wasn't going to just throw away my money because someone was too lazy to actually do their job. When my drink was finally done, instead of the lady grabbing my food item from from the worker side of the counter, which is faster since she's already on that side and can easily grab the food item, she goes all the way around the counter to the order pick-up spot, still walking slowly, and then makes her way toward me. She didn't even say anything when she opened the door to give me my items. She just looked me up and down, so I just grabbed my order and said "thank you" because I didn't have time to argue with her and someone had arrived to pick-up their order, so I didn't want to waste their time, just like mine was. After that, I missed my bus, and I couldn't even enjoy my food and drink as my mood had been ruined by that employee. At that point, I just wished I had my money and time back. It was even more upsetting as I hadn't had any problems with order pick-up whenever I went in the afternoon. The other workers I've met at different hours and days were so nice and speedy with my order. It's the reason I thought it'd be okay to do an order pick-up on an important day, early in the morning, when I needed to get breakfast and caffeine the most. The point of order pick-up is to be able to walk in, grab your order, and go. It shouldn't take more than three minutes to get your order after it is marked as ready for pickup. It really makes me reconsider going there in the future, which sucks because it's in a convenient location where I...
Read moreI came here September 2nd and was helped by these two polite employees working the register. I’m assuming one was in training and the other was training him. I ordered my order with no problem. Everything was fine. Until I tried my Matcha frappe, where I noticed it tasted like strawberry water. I contemplated on taking it back to the counter and asking them to make it again. I deal with really bad anxiety. However, didnt want my money to go to waste. I informed them I didn’t like my drink and that I’d like to have a strawberry açaí refresher instead. She says OK and begins to ring me up for the drink. I ask her may she refund the frappe so that I can use that money to pay for the refresher. She says it’s Okay she'll just give it to me for free. I tell her I’d rather be refunded and pay for the refresher because the frappe cost more. She says she’ll have to speak to her supervisor. Jose came out and he wasn’t carrying welcoming energy. They tried to find my order on their register, but couldn’t so they asked me to pull up my order on the app. I asked him how do I do that? He says nothing so I figure it out myself. I showed him what I thought was my most recent order and he just takes my phone out of my hand without my permission. He then says that’s not the right order and gives me my phone back. After a while he was able to refund me. I walk away quickly due to me being uncomfortable with his attitude and energy. I come back because I realized he did not take my order for the new drink that I wanted. So I’m just standing there. There are no other customers in line. I see him, see me standing there, but he chooses not to ask if there’s anything else I need help with. He looks over my way a few more times, and says nothing doesn’t approach me and ask me “did I forget something” or anything. I don’t appreciate him not acknowledging me as a customer, a paying customer at that. I’m not sure what type of preconceived notions Jose may have had about me. I wasn’t a rowdy customer. I wasn’t a loud customer. I was very polite, as always. (Doesn’t training consist of tests that prevent this unconscious bias?) The other two that were helping me in the beginning disappeared. Jose even brings out this girl from the back and intentionally tells her to work the opposite register from the one I was standing in front of, the exact same one that he refunded me on. After me meeting their supervisor, it all makes sense why majority of the other employees are rude and unprofessional. It's because their supervisor sets that example. The girl he brings out sees me waiting there with a confused look on my face and then asked me if I need help. She even apologizes. However, she shouldn’t of apologized. It was not her fault. It was her supervisor’s fault. She takes my order and I go about my day. I began to sit and eat my sausage, egg, and cheddar sandwich that I bought in the first order but I noticed something inedible on my egg. I have provided a picture below. I couldn’t eat it with whatever that was on there. I wanted a refund for that too but after the uncomfortable situation that I was in regarding the refund of the horrible drink I just left. Make sure you check your egg sandwiches before...
Read moreListen, this particular Starbucks is closer to my work place so I tend to go to this particular one more so than any other Starbucks..
However, I’ve to reconsider going to another one either close to my home or drive a little out the way to another Starbucks.
This one is SLOW. No matter how early I get there I still end up running late for work.
Not only that, they always mess up on my drink, and I order the same drink every single time.
Also, they are not the most friendliest people.
I understand Starbucks workers are under pressure to make people’s favorite drinks correct and they do take a lot of verbal abuse from their customers.
I keep that in mind, so I am still always polite. But I do get a tad bit frustrated with their service. Slow & they never get my drink correct… Even when I show them a picture of exactly what my drink should look like and the exact ingredients to add they still sometimes mess up. Even giving me a cold drink when I ordered hot. They make that mistake a lot. Now I’ve to wait longer for them to make another drink. 😫
At this point, I don’t care if they get robots to make my coffee, as long as the robot can make it fast and accurate. Because the humans there are tired, overwhelmed, not friendly &...
