Ridiculous and sketchy...Not the company it used to be! On 11.06.17 I also had RYAN come out as my tech to inspect and give me a quote for a $100 for a hanging mouse/rat trap from a hole in my roof line, bait stations at $25 x 6 (for a 1600 sq ft house...really that many for the outside??), quarterly bait station monitoring at 40 bucks a quarter and then the kicker...to replace the "manufactured" crawl space door that THEY installed the first time they did work for me is a whooping $150! Then they add on the FULL house protection plan for $199 that has so many holes in the verbiage, it's not worth the cost unless they do inadequate work in the first place. I thought that was highway robbery considering the cost of all the items is around $70 and it may take them an hour. $638, but then I must still pay $40 a quarter for them to come put new food in the bait stations?? Really!??? Sooooooooo...finally I gathered the money to get this done (03.19.18) so I called the office and RYAN sent me a new quote. OMGosh! So in 3 months the crawl space door (about 18 x 12 inches of wire mesh that they will drill onto my house...that's IT!) went from $150 to $200 AND the Hanging trap went from $100 to TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS. What a sham!! Talk about a 100% increase. I also spoke to Christine and she was pretty much uninterested in my concern of the cost. She said that the sales guys are responsible for their estimates and as she looked at my estimate...(her words) "you got a highly discounted price on the Full Home Wildlife Protection plan at the $199" OH REALLY? Me: that was never even spoke about to me until I saw it on my quote so don't know much about it ORRRRR that it was discounted. She said "yes, ma'am, the price for that is typically $688 so you are getting a $488 discount". WHAT? Seriously? Does she hear herself? I said sooooooooooo....what does this have to do with you increasing the price of a piece of metal mesh for the crawl space and the same darn trap that you were installing before...by almost 100%???? NO WORDS! So shady. Anddddd...he was at my house for all of 10 minutes for the inspection, did not go over a thing with me ANDDDD ALSO would not go inside or even look in the attic! Just crazy. I just rec'd another quote today with a same day inspection (they were right around the corner from my house when we called) and for more services it is $419 with a 2 year warranty! SHAME ON YOU...
Read moreUnfortunately, I have a rat issue in/around my home with which I am currently dealing. I have trapped about 6 rats (before this current wave) in about 5 years at my home. They seem to like to seek shelter in the cooler months. Not been a big deal. I called Critter Control , seeking their help to assess and estimate (what I thought would be) a quick fix. April 7, Mario does a walk through and points out 2 areas with evidence of rat entry/exit. Here is the estimate to seal, bait and monitor that I now feel foolish to have agreed. Put it this way, a few days later, a tech placed 4 bait stations around exterior of my home and it took him about 15 minutes. At that rate, I said ok to renting the stations and bait, install, monitoring and removal. I feel as if I paid $800 an hour for something they can do twice (2 install x 15 min, 2 removal x 15 min = 60) in an hour and haven't returned to re bait, move, clean since. They have me on the hook for 1/2 hour at that insane charge. I can buy similar bait and stations for less than $100. Back to the sealing of exterior home. I am sickened that I said yes to about $800 more in charges to what amounted to 2 technicians less than an hour and about $30 materials, (1 sq foot sheet metal, wire mesh roll and self tap screws).
To sum things up, displeased that I am dealing with the problem 23 days after they started work.
When the job started, I said yes to the recommendation that I no longer set traps of my own. Mistake. I had faith in CC and put mine in the trash. Right now, there are 3 snap traps that belong to CC in my cupboard. ??? Critter Control told me that they only service the exterior of home and they have had success and this is the way its done. The problem is rats inside my home keeping me awake at night as they rummage through my dog food and water. Rats have destroyed cereal boxes, foil boxes of beef broth (huge mess), new foil pack of coffee, candles .
I feel that I agreed to a huge dollar amount and had belief that would ensure me a speedy solution, using heavy artillery, cutting edge equipment and an expert level of strategy. Extremely disappointed. ...

EDIT AND RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE
I did not receive any call on 1/14/2025 to my phone number from any of the numbers associated with your company and no voicemail left, so this is a complete lie and quite disappointing for you to claim. Ryan called me this morning 1/20/2025 (from the number I do have associated with your company) and mentioned absolutely nothing of this sort, which furthers the claim it is all lies. It was quite sad how all I said calmly was "I have hired a different company to do the work" and he said "sounds good" and we said goodbye to each other. "Sounds good"? To not get ahold of me ONE WEEK after my initial call and had no apologies for wait time? Context matters.... this is a critter problem. That is your business. Wait times in excess like this have real implications. I understand companies becoming busy and things falling through the cracks. But this attitude behind it? Completely passive with no acknowledgement of that situation? That to me is unacceptable for your industry.
I'm a reasonable person and a business owner myself. I would be ashamed if I were in your position and I would stand up for the wrong and explain the company made a mistake. I wouldn't act like any of this "sounds good".
BEWARE anyone dealing with this company. They clearly are disingenuous and if you feel you want quality work done in a time frame you feel acceptable, I would not hire them.
