Thank you, Rasmussen University! Because of you, I am a college graduate who made the dean's list every quarter. The teachers and staff have been excellent since day one. I am so overwhelmed and grateful to have received that call from Stacey Willard, the admissions advisor who has been my backbone from the beginning. I am forever thankful for each and everyone at this University. I would 100 percent recommend this college to anyone looking to go to school to further their education.

All the positive reviews are from school staff, students here are treated like trash.

Well. Here it goes. I read the reviews on this place before I joined and I thought to myself, "maybe they just had a bad experience and it really isn't as bad as they explain." I couldn't be more wrong. I joined the ADN nursing program and was removed and revoked due to having a dismissed case on my record. Let me clarify what the case is. I had a firearm in my vehicle in California during covid because I lost my business and house and went transient unfortunately. I was approached by police in a parking lot where I was sleeping and they searched my vehicle to find a "concealed firearm". This firearm wasn't registered to me due to Colorado law since that's where I came from originally. But I did have it separated from the ammunition for California state law and following their rules and regulations- also the gun is under my name through the ATF. I sent this information to the background department for Rasmussen. I've had the district attorney send official copy's to this school and they still took me out even though the case is dismissed and I was never found guilty, par the minute order I sent. Anyone familiar with a case understands what a Minute Order is, and that was sent to this organization. I was emailed yesterday saying that this dismissed case was the reason I couldn't attend this school-- mind you that I've been a medical assistant along with a surgical technologist since 2014 and have never had an issue with employment etc.

They prolonged the process to try and make sure I was taken out when the next quarter started so they can collect more funds for me for another semester, with the knowledge that they would terminate me. I ended up withdrawing myself before that could happen because I understood what they were doing.

I deeply express that if you have anything in your records at all, take care of it, before you apply at this college. They will take you for anything they can get and make up a reason to get you out.

I'd like to add that I am a gun owner and have my concealed carry license years after this event occured. Also back on my feet, own a home and am doing very well ... I just caution anyone if they may have the same minute charges on their record to tread very carefully and explore all other options before joining this campus, or any in affiliation with Rasmussen University.

I hope this helps.

Best regards for anyone...

Once enrolled, you’ll quickly realize that many students share the same concerns. The curriculum changes almost every semester, so even if you retake a class, you’ll often face entirely new material. Faculty turnover is also frequent, with instructors sometimes setting their own rules. Notably, the Dean now also serves as a professor.

Much of the instruction relies heavily on PowerPoint slides, some of which contain errors, with faculty attributing mistakes to AI-generated content. Exams are often curved, either because they include questions unrelated to the assigned chapters or because the overall performance requires grade adjustments.

While admission may be relatively accessible, engaging with the program can be difficult. Effective communication largely depends on being added to faculty phone call lists through Microsoft Teams. Additionally, campus logistics can be frustrating—students are required to park across the street, despite the presence of an on-campus parking garage that remains off-limits.

Many students report high levels of stress, often feeling they must teach themselves due to the limited effectiveness of lecture materials. The program can give students the impression they are “on track,” only for them to later discover otherwise.

On a positive note, Professors Neville, Moise, and Professor P come highly recommended. My stars are for them. They are known for going above and beyond, teaching across multiple subject areas and fostering a sense of collaboration—recognizing that in this environment, it truly “takes a village.”

Before investing your time and money, be sure to thoroughly research the program and weigh the experiences of current and...

I had a terrible experience with Rasmussen University that I feel compelled to share. After being accepted, completing enrollment, and even starting classes, I was suddenly dropped by the university due to “background concerns,” despite my extensive work history with well-known hospitals. This last-minute change was not only frustrating but also deeply unprofessional, considering they had already cleared my background and allowed me to begin coursework.

What’s especially disappointing is that Rasmussen made me believe I was set on the path toward completing my education, only to pull the rug out from under me. I invested time, energy, and trust into this institution, and now I’m left scrambling to pick up the pieces with no clear answers.

Their admissions process feels misleading, and their communication throughout this ordeal was lacking at best. If they had doubts about my background, it should have been addressed well before classes started. This experience has not only wasted my time but also caused unnecessary stress.

I would advise anyone considering Rasmussen to be cautious, especially if you value transparency and respect in an educational...
