You get what you pay for, and I was horrified by what I got. Wifi service was poor, room was shabby, but that could have been overlooked until roaches started coming out. I was working at the desk on my laptop and was appalled to not only see roaches run across the desk, but I had two run over my foot and found more hiding under my bag when I picked it up. Absolutely no way I could sleep there, so I left. Manager refused to give me a refund because I had checked in early. Roaches didn't start coming out until after the sun started going down. Trust me, if I'd seen the roaches upon first getting there, I would have left. That's what I get for checking in early and then leaving for an event. I only spent just over three hours in the room. The management staff should be ashamed of themselves for the appalling conditions. AC was barely blowing air, even pushing the temp down to 61 is was hot in there, with the vent broken and just pointing at the floor. Table lamps and the bedframe all had rust spots. Two of the lightbulbs were out above the sink. Rusty toilet paper holders without the spindles to hold toilet paper in the holders. Splatters in the tub, with something red caught in the drain. Smoke alarm looks ancient from the discoloration. Door not sealed properly, wide gap between it and the doorframe. Cable going into the TV very loose, had to jiggle it to get a signal. Outlet under the desk very loose, you plug something in, the plug falls out if barely touched. Sloppy paint job in the room, as if someone didn't care about neatness. And then the roaches. One I could have probably overlooked since this is Florida...but not the 8-10 I saw popping out.

This place is INSANELY misrepresented on the website. The front of the "hotel" is decently nice looking. When you turn the corner, it's an entirely different story. The grounds are FILTHY and in disrepair. They have many people here that are of very questionable morals. Our room didn't have a shower curtain, the door flip lock was broken off, the toilet seat was cracked in half, and our floor was wet and the smell of bleach was so strong it burned your nose. I felt incredibly unsafe staying there and the only reason we did was because I couldn't drive another mile. I had spoken with hotel staff several times in order to make sure everything was OK with our reservations prior to our stay (we are from Indiana) and they were very nice and respectful on the phone and in person, however, the young man at the front desk tried to pretend he had no idea what I was talking about when I said I felt unsafe there. There were 2 police officers waiting to talk to him about some guests who LIVE THERE. After I voiced my concerns he told me that the hotel manager was pretty good with customer complaints, but I couldn't reach him until Monday. We were leaving to go home on Sunday. I checked out and got my deposit back but not the cash I paid for my room because only the manager can do refunds ( we stayed one night out of three we booked for.) I called the manager Damien and left a message with an employee because he was in meetings and got no call back. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

Wow. Where do I even begin? If you're into exclusive experiences like sharing your bed with cockroaches, this is the place for you! I felt like I was on an unplanned episode of Fear Factor—except no prize at the end, just emotional damage. The smoke alarm decided to bless me with a symphony of beeps all night long—apparently, a low battery means high-volume misery. Who needs sleep when you can enjoy a high-pitched chirp every 45 seconds like a psychological experiment gone wrong? As for cleanliness? Don’t make me laugh. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the invention of dirt. The sheets were crusty, the bathroom was a crime scene, and even the cockroaches seemed confused about why they were there. I’m convinced I caught tetanus just by looking at the floor. And as for Airbnb? What a joke. Their “support” team was about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. I begged for a refund while being eaten alive by roaches and serenaded by the smoke alarm’s beep-beep-beep—but no, Karen from Airbnb just kept copy-pasting the same scripted garbage like a broken chatbot. I’ve had more meaningful conversations with a brick wall. Don’t trust them with your money—they’ll vanish faster than your will to live once you check into this disaster zone. Do yourself a favor: sleep in your car, a bus stop, or literally anywhere else. You'll be cleaner, safer, and significantly less traumatized.

This hotel has a very inexpensive nightly rate my wife and I stayed here twice we paid $41 after tax for the night and a $50 cash deposit which we were to get back upon checking out our room was clean very clean the bed was extremely comfortable the TV was very new and very big the water got very hot it was a very comfortable stay However the next morning we went to check out we weren't able to get our cash deposit back because the manager was not in to get into the safe my wife has to sign a piece of paper stating that we were unable to get our deposit back because no one was there to give it back to us it was about 2 maybe three o clock before they gave us a call to come get our deposit when we got off of work we realized we were going to be in town another night we decided to stay in that hotel another night considering we had gotten our deposit back the woman who handled our checkout told us that the incident regarding our deposit was an isolated incident that never occurs so we felt comfortable enough to stay there another night again the room was comfortable comfortable bed very clean we go to check out the next morning they had lost my deposit and try to cover up your mistake by telling me that I never paid a deposit for that night they try to use the deposit slip from our previous day that was under my wife's name and said look you even signed for it we did give you your deposit back so the property manager herself tried to weasel out of giving me my deposit back because they lost it and had to try and come up with $50 from god-knows-where by telling me that I never paid a deposit for that night because I had already paid a deposit from the previous not understanding herself that when you check out you get your deposit back if you decide to stay there again the next day you have to pay a deposit again but she was trying to say that because we had paid a deposit before why would they charge us another deposit very retarded as far as comfort and cleanliness I give the hotel a good rating as far as the staff goes the staff is very nice but not too confident the property manager is very rude unprofessional and has very poor work ethic I would honestly stay there again considering the hotel is very comfortable and clean but I will not give a cash deposit because they don't handle cash very well like I said they have lost my deposit so like I said if you decide to stay there put your deposit on this card it will take anywhere between 1 to 3 days to get back but it's better than paying in cash and risking not getting...

Ok so first let me start by saying that I booked this hotel through Hotels.com on 03/20/2022. I used to drive for Uber and Lyft in the area. I know this hotel. It's not the greatest or the nicest, but I figured I'd give it a shot since it's the cheapest in the area and I would only be there for a week before moving out of state. Well, on Hotels.com I selected the option to pay for my stay when I arrive and the Hotel offers free cancellation up until the day before check in. MY stay was supposed to be from March 24 to March 31. Which means I could cancel up to 03/23/2022 before I would have to pay a fee for cancelling. On March 21, I cancelled the reservation because I found a nicer and cheaper hotel about 10 miles further away. I went into my bank account and saw the hotel had charged me $67.08. I talked to Hotels.com since this is who I was booked through and they said they don't know why the hotel charged me. They tried calling the hotel twice to get an answer, but no one answered. Hotels.com stated the charge was most likely a room hold deposit, but the hotel offered no deposit required until check in, so they again didn't know why they charged me. They stated the money should be back in my account in 5 business days and if it's not to contact them again. So this hotel charged me before my stay. They charged me a deposit before I arrived, even though they say no deposit due until check in. They didn't answer their phones for Hotels.com They didn't answer their phones for me. They didn't process the charge as a hold like any other deposit would, so the charge actually completed and processed through my bank.

Please, people reading this. For your own peace of mind, do not stay here. Do not give them your business. This place is horrible. Read the other reviews. Read how the Manager or Owner or whatever they are, only ever responds with here is my deepest apology. They never do anything to reimburse customers or offer anything up to make the customer happy. It's always an "I'm sorry" and they move on to the next one. Pay the extra costs and stay somewhere where your only concern is going to be what you're doing the next day to...

I want someone from a Corporate Office to contact me Not the Manager, or so-called Manager at this hotel. He is a bully, and I mean bully, speaking to Guest in any manner. I chose this hotel to stay between moves for to the rate and location. And also the site "pet friendly". I was at the hotel starting a Wednesday. People saw my dog. I walked my dog. Didn't hide my dog because it says "pet friendly". Monday a little after 1ish there is a banging at room door about some objects blocking the door, which it wasn't. He then sees the dog and starts yelling, why is that dog in there. Now mind you, I have seen plenty (not 1 or 2, but plenty) of other dogs before I even booked. That was another reason, I saw other dogs. This man literally told me the dog goes or I have to go. And leaves while I'm asking him about the policy. For no reason other than me questioning the other dogs on property at which he respond, is not my concern. It is if you are putting me out. Now I work from home (so I was working) in my room. Then unknowing by me, he had called the cops. He literally wanted me to pack and go. So the officer saw my computer and says she works see if he works give me until 6, which he so Graciously agreed to. So I had to get off work at 5 and be packed and out by 6 because if they came back and I was there with the dog, they really threatened to arrest me for trespassing. I cannot find any corporate numbers. There is one number listed for Lobby, Reservations, and Contact Us. He didn't give it offer to give my money back. If the lady I room with wasn't there (she got to stay), he would have "stolen" 182 dollars for leaving 5 days early. And the photos of the rooms on the site are so old. Or another hotel. The rooms at this hotel are no where near that clean and bright looking.||And this is a real review. Happened to me || Including link: https://www.altamontespringshotel.com/||"pet-friendly"||...
