Junior's Supermarket — Local services in Alton

SACM!!! FRAUD ALERT!!!⚠️🚩🚩🚩🚩 On 7/11/24 my parents when to this establishment and purchase a total of $54.85 at 10:15am later that day when they got home they noticed they where changed a second time but for this time a total of $64.73. When they notice this inconsistency they when back to the store later that day and let them know. They where told that the system does that sometimes and they would get their money back the following day or come back if it wasn't resolved. Well they when back on 7/12/24 as the issue was clear not solved as they did over charge them and wasn't a system's error. On that day they got told to come back for the 3rd time to speak with the manager from 8am to 2pm on Saturday 7/13/24 which they did. Apparently the manager wasn't aware of the situation but also refused to give them their money back even if they have the receipt and my father told them to check the camera so they could check and see their cashier double charge them and the items they bought. They told them they would get back to them. I called today to speak with the manager but they just let me on hold as the card in question is mine. I know $64 dollars is not much and I don't really care about the money but is the fact they have the audacity to make it seem like my parents are lying and asking them if they are sure they didn't but anything else. This matter is so easy to resolve if they would just check their cameras. So please anyone that buys things from here double check you accounts after your purchases. For me $60 dollars are nothing but is the way they treated my parents that makes me so furious.

Update: They call around 2pm 7/13/24 gave me the money back but only after I wasted my time on the phone with my bank and made a dispute claim...

It's a lower level of grocery store. I prefer HEB. This places is has alot of Mexican products which is great. People aren't so friendly but the cleaness is where the problem is. I wouldnt eat here but only buy stuff fresh like sometimes meat. I buy more frozen or boxed, canned stuff. The drive is closer to my house but at times I prefer to drive future to get to HEB better. The food is ok. The cooks/food handlers need to wear gloves. Don't like that they touch so many different things. Bags, spatulas, their pants and apron and then your food. One person was sick and coughing and another washing dishes and was called to help serve customers (no gloves) and didn't wash hands. Just dried hands on self...not very sanitary. Only one I've seen that's clean and handles it properly is some guy with a mustache. (Usually cutting the meat and preparing)
