2 weeks ago they sent someone who seemed to be a helper and not an actual technician, found the guy on the phone the majority of the time asking someone for a diagnosis on the phone, back tracking, I called a claim due to my A/C not cooling properly and always staying on, upon the gentleman’s arrival he informed me that he could not figure out why my a/c was not cooling he even when on to tell me that all the coils where clean.. from there I informed the man the I was aware of how claims worked and that I wanted him to state that he could not find anything and instead just to get some money from my warranty he goes on to state that he recommends a cleaning after telling me otherwise, now 2 weeks later my A/C has stopped cooling completely, during Atlas’s initial visit they told me the air coming from the vents was 76 degrees Fahrenheit when my A/C was set at 69 degrees Fahrenheit and he said it was good, I thought it was common sense that that was not correct, how would it ever get to 69 Fahrenheit and now after getting a second opinion from another A/C that I’m spending more money on has informed me that it should be releasing air 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit not 76 degrees. Getting back to my A/C being completely out I called Atlas to come and they said they couldn’t because they have other calls, PEOPLE THIS IS AN ON GOING SITUATION, MY ADDRESS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE A PRIORITY TO GET FIXED!! YALL ALREADY HAVE MY MONEY FROM THE FIRST VISIT IN WHICH YALL DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! P.S. (FOR OWNERS RESPONSE) AS YOU FOLKS CAN SEE IN THE OWNERS RESPONSE THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO GET UPSET FOR A CUSTOMERS REVIEW AND STILL NOT OWN UP TO THEIR POOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, RIDICULOUS AND FOR THOSE OF YOU SECOND GUESSING ON GIVING THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS "DON'T." Read moreInstalled a/c units a few years ago , but I have had problems with the temperatures from the beginning. It was cold weather when they initially installed and the unit would not heat. Atlas guys came out and replaced heating element but it was still not heating. They said that was all that could be done. As the years go by we keep finding new problems, for example the duct design was NOT designed accordingly. We have a unit that does not have a return. The doors constantly slam shut when the unit turns on. The moment we open a window we can tell the motor is not as stressed. We are having to redo the design to fix problem. We also used them for our a/c problems with our apartments in Edinburg and we noticed when we were going to replace a part to a/c they would attempt to replace with a used part. Regardless if we paid for a new one. I told the tech NOT to replace with used parts . I caught them in the act that is how I know. They also recommended I replace the a/c unit to another of my units this was back in 2016 and we said no. We sent someone else to clean the coil and the a/c unit is running fine till today.
ADVISE to consumer IF you have and a/c company recommend a/c replacement 98% of the time you don't need to replace. Find someone else. Make sure the part you ordered is new. Make them open package in front of you. Check to make sure if they actually install Freon. Most of the time a/c technicians doesn't even add Freon they pretend and charge you. I know some of the a/c companies tricks because of my experience with them and catching them in the act. Not only Atlas but many others.
Good thing about Atlas is Sara she's professional and if your owed a refund she will process it as soon as possible. She always takes my calls and if she's busy she will call me back. The office is great . The tech's they have are not honest and some need more experience. This is my honest opinion and my experience with Atlas. Read moreUpdate: Atlas had previously completed several electrical jobs for us, and their responsiveness and results met our expectations. When we experienced ongoing drainage issues with the air handlers of our two air conditioners—an issue that had persisted for years without resolution and at times with serious damage to ceilings—and other contractors were unable to schedule service within the season, we chose to try Atlas's air conditioning services. This turned out to be a very good decision on our part. They found that the original condenser / handler installations had been done incorrectly, and others fiddling with the units over the years had only exacerbated the situation. When the scope of the work was revealed to us, we prepared for sticker shock but were relieved to find the cost was reasonable. It is necessary to add that the space between the original phone call, including evaluation and estimate, and the beginning of work was only a couple days. Joe, Alex, Jacob, and Jay arrived early with all necessary parts and tools, worked diligently on both installations with minimal breaks, stayed past 5:00 PM to finish, cleaned up well, and were friendly, informative, and respectful throughout the project. Atlas, once again, has proven itself to be responsive, highly professional, and at the top of their trades.
