Golden Chick — Restaurant in Alton

I usually don't review fast food because, well it's fast food. If you're going to McDonald's or Burger King or Popeye's it's proly cuz you want that, and the review isn't gonna change your mind.

But! I drive past Golden Chick everyday and never cared to try 'another fast food chicken joint'.

Until a friend recommended I go in and try their okra. I can honestly say I've been there three days in a row! The chicken strips are super juicy and tasty! Their sauces are good, the sides I've had are the mash, the French fries, and the okra. All are very good, but have the okra! The people are real nice, a d the place is very clean. First red flag, pulling up and it looking closed @8:45 pm. Second the girl who took our order was pretty rude when being ask what items were available cause whatever we wanted they didn’t have. Third it didn’t take more than 5 min for her and that dude to get the order ready. And once we got the food it smelled disgusting. Made it home to only look inside the box she gave us and the tenders were pale and full of grease, the bread was all Flat cause she squeezed it in there, and once I pulled the tender apart and it was raw! Every time we've gone through the drive through our orders always come out wrong. Sometimes we're missing sides, entire meals, drinks are wrong, etc. Today, they got both meals wrong. I ordered a 4pc with mac, and my brother ordered a 6pc (his being spicy) with fries. They gave him the 4pc (spicy) with mac and gave me a 6pc (regular) with fries. Hello???
