DO NOT BY FROM ZALES.
I will be updating this review with details when I actually (finally, maybe) have my engagement ring in my possession, but since it's been over a month and they still have it, I cannot give a full explanation.
I'll just say that every moment and interaction we have had with this company has been infuriating.
Edit: I got my ring back after a month and a half only for it to break not even a year later. They were able to fix it and have it back within three weeks this last time.
This started when we took the ring in to get resized. The sales lady argued with us about the size of the ring. We said it was size six and needed to be up to size six and a half. The lady asked if we had ordered it online. My husband said no and that he got it in the store. She said it had to be size seven then because they don't sell size six. She took out the measuring tool and measured it. It was size six. She then said, in front of me (the fiance who had just been proposed to with this ring) that it must have been used and been a return. It was not. It was purchased from a line of promise rings that sell in store as size six, it even said so on their website. This lady then takes the ring and puts in the repair order as a white gold ring. It's sterling silver. When we received the ring back, two weeks later, you could see the solder joint because it was so rough and was the wrong color. We had them send it back and it took another two weeks. It came back with the same issue, the color was not right. At this point, we began talking with management to try to solve this issue. We were being told that it was a problem with this type of ring and that it can't be resized. This was opposite of what the sales person had told my husband when he bought it. It was at this point that we, not management, noticed that it was being listed as a white gold ring. We sent the ring back, assigned as a sterling silver ring, and it came back (a month and a half after we first sent it) fine.
It broke less than a year later. We were able to get it back in two weeks with no issues this last time. I'm so glad my husband paid for the lifetime warranty so we don't have to pay for all these issues. We bought our wedding bands from JC Penny's and have had a 100% better experience.
Don't...
Read moreI wish there were a rating less than one star as that would better reflect my dealings with this company. I have never had such a horrible experience with any company....ever. My recommendations when deciding on a jeweler would be RUN far and fast away from this company. It's a long, sad story, but in a nutshell...my fiance and I purchased my engagement ring, then my wedding band and also his wedding band from the local Zales outlet store. My engagement ring and band were sent in to be sized, well in advance of our wedding date. When received back at the store, I couldn't even get them on my finger, obviously sized WRONG. They had to be sent back in and I was told it would be expedited so I would received them back in time for the wedding. Originally, the clerk told me the rings would be back May 12....a little close for comfort as my wedding is May 21, but acceptable. When I got back from the store, I had an email that said the rings would be back May 12...but shortly thereafter, I received another email that said they wouldn't be back until May 19...WAY TOO CLOSE to the May 21 wedding date for me to feel comfortable. I then get an email May 9 (Sunday) stating the rings were back at the store and ready to be picked up...obviously NOT possible, since they were just sent in for repair three days prior. Several calls later and having been given the runaround...I'm no closer to having my rings for the wedding. I am...
Read moreThis Zales is a terrible place to shop, you are better off going to Jordan Creek and getting service there. I sent my ring in for a resize in the box and they lost the box, apparently they were not supposed to take it, but the lady working there did. When I asked for a new box they refused to give me a box and would not work with me about ordering a new box, they told me I would have to go to Jordan Creek and, maybe, they would help me. I also asked them to get me my diamond bond number so that I could get the scheduled maintenance and cleaning done and they told me that they can not provide that information for me. I spend a lot of money getting a total of three rings through Zales and I expected better customer service. When I finally got my diamond bond number from someone online I tried to get my cleaning and the number I was given was the wrong one.
Absolutely disappointed in such a big company. The management at Zales Outlet is poor and...
