A dear friend of mine died in mid-April. While her daughter was here from out of state for the funeral she contacted Brad Cunningham of Amarillo Estate Sales Liquidators to make arrangements to conduct a sale for her on a specific date in July. He confirmed the date with her and told her to get with him when she returned to Amarillo in June after school was out. She even confirmed the date again with him after returning home.

When she returned to Amarillo in June she contacted him and he came out to look at her mother's house to get a feel for the sale. After looking at the house he said his next opening was in OCTOBER! When my friend's daughter confronted him about their conversations and previously agreed upon date, his reply was "We didn't have a signed contract" and left.

Trying to get another company to handle an estate sale in 3 or 4 weeks was almost impossible. In talking with some of them, several said he'd done that before when he had a chance to take a sale that would be more profitable to him.

Me and my sister were helping our 90 y/o mother sell her house and get moved to Houston. My sister reached out to Amarillo Estate Liquidators and spoke with Brad several times. He came to the house no less than 4 times to confirm what was there and what she was taking with her. The last time he came to the house was the day we were leaving. He confirmed with my sister that a verbal telephone agreement would suffice and there was enough to do a sale. The next day, when I was already in another state and my sister and our mother were more than half way to Houston, Brad called my sister and informed her he was not going to do the sale since there wasn't enough to make any money. When you feel like something is to good to be true. It probably is. This statement is NOT true when dealing with Brad and Amarillo Estate Sale Company. Brad and the staff were wonderful to deal with during this trying time. It is hard enough dealing with your loved ones belongings then add the Covid issues going on during this time. I felt like this was a disaster waiting to happen. Brad put our minds to rest and kept us up to date on everything.
