Sabaidee Restaurant — Restaurant in Amarillo

I used to love this place but hadn’t been in years. Decided to give it another try and I feel robbed. 😣 Ordered three entrees, a soup, and two appetizers. Both appetizers were inedible. I ordered fried tofu and also had tofu in my pad Thai. Both were hard and old. It seemed like they had cooked the tofu in advance, refrigerated it for days, and then used it in my meal. I could barely chew it. There was no freshness in anything we ate. I also ordered summer rolls that were listed as containing “fresh herbs and vegetables.” I don’t eat meat, so imagine my surprise when they also contained shrimp and what appeared to be chicken. I will not got back to this place, and I hate leaving negative reviews, but I also want anyone who is vegan or vegetarian to know what they should expect from their meal. We did order two chicken fried rice and they were, according to my family, ok (but not great). My boyfriend had the wonton soup and said it was so salty he could barely eat it. Never had a bad meal here and never had bad service. As much as I eat at this place, you'd think they'd have had a bad day by now - but it's just never happened.

Owner will greet you personally, wait staff are very courteous and friendly, and the food has been excellent every time I've been there, and priced low enough that I don't feel as guilty as I really should, considering the frequency at which I frequent this restaurant.

Decor is pretty plain and a little on the sparse side, but there are flat screen TV's (not turned up very loud, thankfully.), plants and pictures around to look at.

If I had to list one "complaint" (and this is really a stretch, just for the sake of fairness), the only issue I can think of is that the most common female waiter seems to speak very little English at all. That may not be fair, because she may just be shy or quiet. Regardless of this, she's never been discourteous, never brought the wrong thing out, and never let a...

I worked here for only 2 months . The owner was very nice the first day and the second day was rude I didn't know I could not wear tights and she sent me home in a rude way " 2nd day and already having a problem" so I left I didn't come back that day because I was mad and didn't pay attention to the road and crashed. So I so I continued​ to work their and she was rude at times she would ignore some of my questions . And the last day I went I had problems at home so I wasn't really focused and the whole day she was being so rude to me ignored me rolled her eyes at me. I wanted to leave but I stayed and when we closed she didn't even give me my tips herself she had her daughter give them to me. And the next day I did not return and she kept calling me .
