This used to be one of my absolute favorite places to go in teh PNW, but the last two years have not been kind on this destination.
The lawn on the north end of the beach used to have some huge trees that offered great shade and great visuals. They have all been cut down over the last two years. What a shame.
There used to be a playground. Quite the nice one indeed. All that is left is the bleak square it used to sit in. How or why do you remove a freaking playground!?
There used to be a sea bridge. Okay, technically it is still there. But the ramp has either been torn down or left to rot to the point where it had to be removed. Not sure which one it is but now there is a sea bridge with no access to it.
The water? Dirtier than ever. Not sure I can blame this strictly on the park, but it is a shame and ruins the last remaining good part: The beach.
