White Jones is one of those rare gold nuggets you only find in a small town like Anderson SC. They've got every type of nut and bolt you can ever need, even Lowes and other places will refer you to White Jones if they get stumped on a hardware item. they got everything from Guns and ammo, lawn mower repair specialty dept. with all the parts nobody else has got. plus plumbing, and electrical , the usual stuff you expect from a good hardware store, along with a good selection of CARHARTT clothing, and other top of the line work wear. they have a fantastic staff of mostly older gentlemen that are just waiting for a chance to help you find what you need, I've literally gone in there with all sorts of requests for different projects I've had, and I'm always impressed with how well they can manage to find just what i need , even if im just describing what it has to do, and not what it is, they do well to make since of my rambling, lol.

Yep I really like good old White Jones they carry the ace brand logo, but they are not your average ace hardware. They are worth checking out sometime if you get a chance. I definitely recommend them to anyone.

I recently purchased an ego battery powered lawn mower, battery and charger from ace hardware located in the Watson Village Shopping Center. I tried to return the mower package because it did not meet my expectations for performance. It wasn't powerful enough for my thick lawn and the grass clippings did not feed into the bagger so I had to take up the grass clippings after I mowed. I explained this to the store dept manager but she said that I could not return it because it had been used. Well duh... Yes I said buy your return policy stated that returns accepted within 30 days. Except for gas powered equipment, also the policy states that it must be returned in new, like new condition in original pkg with all manuals and paperwork. I followed their instructions but I was told that it was not new and had been used. What's the point of accepting only new unused equipment, appliance, electronics if you're not going to use it also what good is a warranty or return policy that only accepts new unused items. I sure that ace hardware will not miss loosing one customer but I will be happy to spend my money for better customer service and a reasonable return policy. All I needed was two propane tanks filled. Young man Zachary was on the spot. Walked in the store less than 30 seconds later I’m leading him to the car where he insisted that he grab the tanks fills them and He puts them in the car and we walk inside. Pretty long line. Only one lady running a register at that time. That young man spoke to another customer assuring them he is handling whatever ever issue he obviously had previously discussed with them. He heads out of site, a minute or two later he walks back out, hands the customer he spoke to something and walks behind the counter and opens up a second register and proceeds to ring-up the next customer in line. That kid is cut from a different cloth than the others his age. Ya don’t see them put forth effort like that much these days. If I owned my own business and had a spot that he would fit, I without a doubt would try to recruit him. If he didn’t know the job I needed filled he’s worth training with that kind of effort and ethic. I hope his management team...
