First let me start by saying this is by far my favorite place to thrift, it’s clean, well organized and bright with the best prices around, you literally can not beat the prices. The location is convenient with lots of parking.
They have a large beautiful display case they use almost exclusively to display items that are super nice and desirable but they are not for sale which only serves to frustrate customers and force volunteers to repeat themselves day in and out. It’s cool to know that they get and have cool stuff but they should consider just asking for a higher price for these items instead of wasting the crème de la crème retail display on items not even for sale.
I’m not sure why tax is charged at this charity thrift shop, if neither Salvation Army or Goodwill collect it surely a local charity should also be exempt.
I also have to second what another reviewer said about how you can and will overhear, the manager in particular talking bad about shoppers or griping about how hard she works. Sometimes it’s making a rude comment when a customer leaves or trying to commiserate with you while you’re shopping about another shopper.
If you ever say anything about being treated rudely the other volunteers will excuse the managers behavior by saying that they’re not paid and it’s not personal. I know everyone is a donating their time but everything in the store is donated too and it’s not tacky. I wasn’t going to say anything about the mean girls senior center vibe but saw it mentioned in another review and wanted to second that those comments have merit.
This is still my favorite thrift store, it was just important for me to give a real review so other shoppers that are potentially sensitive to bullying know...
Read moreI'm very disappointed. Wanted to support my local thrift store but one clerk was very rude. Came in looking for large Halloween decorations. So didn't need to rummage through anything just look around. Got there about twelve minutes before closing. I'm in a wheelchair so I rolled through towards the back, the lights were off already. So it was gonna stop and look through and see if I saw any decorations. At that time, the clerk said "we are closing soon. The lights are off. Don't go in there." very Snidely. I felt like she was treating me like a child or a convict. She could have these just as easily asked what I was looking for and confirmed if they may have anything.. Sorry to say I won't...

I would much rather shop and donate to support ETC thrift than a big box thrift store for profit...where the dollars and donations stay local. I only wish they would stay open longer and on weekends. Hard for working people with bankers...
