Employees Eating Out Of The Popcorn Machine With Their Bare Hands.

After a lot of consideration, I decided to describe what happened on my recent visit. Being a small business and knowing what affect a review like this could have, I wanted to give the owner a chance to make things right with my family (her customers) and make changes with her staff.

I took my family to see Avatar. The movie is very long and unfortunately, I'm a smoker. About half way through the movie, I went outside, sat in my vehicle and smoked a cigarette. My vehicle was parked in the front, directly infront of the ticket purchase window. While sitting in my vehicle, I observed the teenagers working inside, sitting around talking and sticking their hands in the popcorn machine and eating popcorn.

I spoke with the owner about the situation and informed her of what happened and that someone could get seriously ill, if the employees had covid or possibly didn't wash their hands after going to the bathroom or handling money. I also told her that my wife and I were angry and discusted and couldn't enjoy the last half of the movie, we waited many years to see and would like a refund.

I decided to write this review for 2 reasons.

First, I realized it was a complete failure on the owners part to not properly train her employees to safety hadle food (especially at the tailend of a pandemic).

Secondly, the owner would not give me a refund. In a situation like this I would expect a business owner to do everything they could to make things right with the customer. Both 1 and 2 show that her customers aren't important to her.

She did offer me a gift card which I did not take, as I wasn't sure if I was going to continue being a customer. Her response made that decision for me. She can keep the $35 but is losing a customer of 10 years. I'll be taking my family to the Cherokee cinema...

I took my daughter tonight at 7pm to watch an R rated movie with two of her friends..They're was the mother of her friend going in with the three to accompany them,but at the window I was told that I had to watch the movie with my daughter.Now I gave this other parent consent to sit with my daughter..My kid was denied because they saud THE PARENT had to go in...I AM A PARENT AND I GAVE THIS OTHER MOM PERMISSION TO STAY WITH HER..WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO DENY MY DAUGHTER ACCESS WHEN THERE WAS A LEGAL GUARDIAN WITH MY KID WITH MY PERMISSION. FROM ME..I trust this guardian with my daughter..Why on Gods green earth do I have to sit with my child in the movies when I gave another adult friend permission to stay with my daughter..I will never ever go to that dump..Murphy and Hiwassee are worth the drive..Your theater sucks on two levels..The above AND the rule of no food or drink aloud except if its from Berry Twisted...Worst type of Christians and business owners EVER'!!!!! Thankfully I get to vote in the paper "Best Theater" You and now up too 59 friends are voting for Henn..All business owners..Yous are a flipping joke and the complaint list on yous is longer then the movies you show in a two week period...By the way,I had to rate this dump before I could post. The worst was Poor/Fair...I'm voting POOR'!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT...

OK.... ANDREWS Again. This is like a Tiny Three (3) Light Town, that you have 2 go through to Get2 the AWESOME Nantahala Outdoor Center - Great Outdoor Activities. Kayak, Rafting, Hiking AND Most anything outdoors. - Sorry I Digressed. ANDREWS Twin theater. This is an Late 80's early 90's Two screen movie theater. Built inside a Small Warehouse type stand-alone Metal/ Concrete Block building. They Keep it clean AND super Friendly staff. Best Part... Movies are like 5 BUX ( Last time was three (3) years ago. IF you drive 20 minutes to MURPHY, NC (Next town over) Fell in LOVE with their CIRCA early 1900's, 1935 to be EXACT movie theater. Directly in the Middle of downtown MURPHY.

Love theat they kept the Old Architectural front Marquee. Kept most of the Historic Decor AND Really Love the Musty Historic Smell - Not Bad... A Good way, in my view. BEST Part, Movies were like 4 BUX for New Released Films. Beats the 20 PLUS BUX in MIAMI.
