Forget Me Not Design — Local services in Ankeny

I’ve always enjoyed visiting this shop, especially for their unique decor items that are hard to find elsewhere. I visited in October during their sale and had a great experience in the morning while shopping. However, my second visit that afternoon left me disappointed.

I returned to pick up an item my mom wanted, and while browsing, a staff member I hadn’t seen before approached me and made polite conversation, asking if I had been there earlier. I confirmed and mentioned I was picking up something for my mom. The item was near the front of the store, so I grabbed it and planned to continue browsing since the sale was so good.

Before I could look around, the staff member took the item from my hand and escorted me to the register to check out. This was strange and uncomfortable, especially since the store wasn’t crowded—there was just one other group—and it wasn’t near closing time.

Unfortunately, this interaction left a bad impression, and I’m hesitant to return despite previously...

If you are looking for a gift, I would stay away from this retailer. "All sales are final" is not a good repeat customer building business philosophy. There are many other businesses in town that will let a customer return or receive store credit. Sorry, I can't give a good review to a company that doesn't care about the customer after the sale.
