Wrabyn Boutique — Local services in Annapolis

When I was there I was looking at a leather jacket. For $600+ I assumed it was real. After looking at the label I saw it was fake leather. Fake leather peels badly over time. After one season it’s usually busted up. I have a friend with a near identical jacket who paid under $50. Wrabyn’s quality does not match the pricing at all. Not to mention fake leather is made from crude oil. It’s plastic… Basic serged tops made from ok materials but being sold for hundreds of dollars. The brands they sell may not be sold in big box stores but they are mostly still made in the same factories overseas. They have some nice things, however it’s still not worth the prices. I found a dress on the original designers website that wrabyn was selling in their shop. It was significantly higher priced than what it retails for from the designer. After speaking to the workers, it was obvious that they had little to no knowledge on what they are selling. Overall I would NOT shop here. While Wrabyn is a nice store, it does not show much diversity in my opinion. When I first walked in, I felt odd being the only hispanic/person of color feeling excluded from this high end store. Also, the majority of the clothes aren't tailored for curvy girls. It's a small nice boutique in Annapolis, and it is a hidden gem, but I was surprised with the prices. The majority of the brands, I found I realized you can find at Nordstorm or Neiman Marcus. Overall, this is an OK store, but my needs were not met. After moving away from Annapolis, this boutique is one of the places I miss most (and I moved to a place with a lot of shopping options). The pieces are curated so thoughtfully with different body types represented. Full price things can be spendy but often the items are quality pieces that are wardrobe foundations that can be used again and again. The staff is warm and friendly, in no way pushy and always willing to help. They have also called me when an item I was looking at goes on sale. When there are sales they are great! Miss...
