Antioch Farmers' Market — Local services in Antioch

This is the best thing that ever happened to Antioch for a long time. I’m very grateful for all the vendors. They are wonderful. You have to try the Italian corner the tagliatelle with some meatballs that they sell. It’s amazing. Also you have to try the tiramisu. It is amazing .at the Greek corner they have all sorts of Hummus’s and it’s all fresh. You can’t get that in the store. The guy is very nice and he lets you try all of them then there’s a sausage guy. They have great sausages there. I don’t Know what the store is called, but I know that it’s great!! Then there are these ladies that sell chips only chips you have to try them. My favourite is The Maui onion one then the barbecue one and then the chilli lime. You have to try also a section where they only sell meat which is the pork shoulder that is amazing. Nice Farmers market, but small. Prices for vegetables and fruit are a bit high, but decent choices. The food vendors are pretty good with baked goods, Mexican food, burgers, and popcorn all available. There are face painters and balloon animal makers for the kids. It's nice, and I appreciate it, but they do not do the SNAP price double that other farmers markets do. This means you pay A LOT for basic produce if you are on SNAP. Eggs at $12 for a dozen? Those chickens have to be laying golden eggs for that. A very upscale market that is seasonal from...
