My mom bought some items from this store and had them ship it to me back in February (she lives in Huntsville, I live in Seattle). When it arrived, the items she bought me were completely shattered. When I called the store it give them some feedback on the packaging, the lady didn't really care at all, not even an apology, but said she would leave a note for the owner and took my name and number. Either the note was never left or the owner didn't care enough to call.

Anyways, when you're shipping glass across the country, you might wanna do more than just wrap it up in some brown paper. I mean, seriously? Not even a little bit of bubble wrap? They sell it at Dollar Tree. Invest in some if you're going to be offering...

We first went into DSM out of curiosity to see what the hype was. That was shortly after the initial opening. Years later, we are still very avid supporters of this business AND their brother site, Southern General. The staff is perpetually chipper, and seems to have extensive knowledge of the products that they provide. MANY of their selections are distributed locally by other Alabama artisans and ALL of the merchandise is unique to our area. If you're looking for gifts (or just shopping for yourself!), this is absolutely the store for you. You are sure to find quality items that aren't so easily located in our neck...

I got a chance last week to visit DSM. I was blown away by the high-quality merchandise. I literally walked around for about an hour, because there are goodies tucked in every nook and cranny. I couldn't make my mind up what to get. It's a great place to get home-made, hometown gifts for friends and family. I was able to bring a little piece of the South (well - a lot of little pieces in my case) back up North to share. I love my Chocolate Tote the best and my entire office now has that wonderful smell...
