Never expected to find such a book store in Arcadia.

I came here a month or so ago because my girlfriend wanted to do some antiquing and check out the general downtown area. I wandered in here and was met with a great selection of novels filling the space. I've been looking for a secondhand copy of a certain book for a while, and asked if they had it. They did not, but did offer to order me a copy.

I never thought I'd be here again, so I said nay and went on about my day. Several weeks later, my girlfriend wanted to come back to downtown Arcadia. I wandered in again, started looking around, and sure enough they had two copies of the book I asked for last time. Obviously, I acquired one, along with another book.

Hate to give the place a 3 star as it is a very nice well kept place and I do recommend stopping in.but when my family and myself were in on Wednesday the lady behind the counter was not very inviting she don't say much just kept looking at the computer screen..I did go up to here at one point and ask her what's the oldest book that they have in there all she told me is she had no idea and that the owner would know more then she did that was it I told her then that I collected old books and trying to find something early 1800s and that was it she never said anything after that I was very disappointed she could have offered to take my number or something to give to the owner. Welcome to a bookstore that feels like home, you walk in and your greeted by some lovely people, a whole lotta books, and a whole section dedicated to Star Trek alone! There's all sorts of sections where you can see stuff, my favorite is the band books section. "If they are trying to ban it then you should read it" is definitely something said alot here which is wise words. Not only that they have plenty of books based around LGBT+ characters which in Florida Is a surprise. You can sit down and read even if you aren't buying the book (even though you should). You can buy candles and bookmarks here too! 10/10 great bookstore, it's a shame it's only open on...
