New Update:
Responding to the comment because the bridal store mentioned certain things in their response that I hadnât spoke on.
Thank you for your reply DH Bridal! And for trying your best to make every bride happy. However, I think it is more important to acknowledge oneâs mistake than to make justifications about every little thing. In my original updated review, I purposely did not go into details about everything that went wrong with my experience there. I wanted to be as nice and as professional as possible with my review, while still being honest to anyone who needed it. However, since the bridal store wanted to bring in some of the details, Iâll respond to just those and clarify with the truth.
I donât appreciate lying. There was never a rush order placed by me. (Order placed 7/2/22). The order was placed well in advance before the date/time frame given to me by the store ( which was 7/15-7/30). I was told by the bridal store the only penalty to placing the Order late was that I would have to pay the full cost of the dress upfront whereas if I ordered in advance, I would be allowed to pay 50% deposit at check out and the other 50% 30 days later. This is the option I chose. I have receipts to prove this is what I did. If I placed it late, my payment would have been in full the day I walked out.
Things that were wrong with my customized dress: color, size, neckline/cleavage, back neckline, sleeves, appliquĂ©. The dress your store tried giving me was horrible. Your store would basically have to create a whole new dress to give me what I ordered because what I received was so far from the mark. As a customer, I could not trust the store to âmake the alterationsâ and deliver it to me (a second time) in less than 2 weeks when you couldnât get it right the first time and had several months.
The dress I left with was off the rack and was not brand new. It had makeup/body stains on the inside of it. It was not the dress I ordered but what I was accommodated for by Dina.
Thanks.
UPDATE:
Need to post an updated review because so much has happened since. The review posted below was asked of me to post by the store in order to receive a discount. To be totally honest, I would advice future brides to be careful. I was so excited when I discovered the brand through TikTok and found out it was owned by a fellow Muslim girl in TX. I am More than happy to support and uplift other women in business. But Without getting too much into the nitty gritty details of it all, I am sad to say this experience was terrible. The dress I ultimately ended up wearing was gorgeous no doubt, but it was not the dress I had originally ordered. It was a lucky accommodation, off the rack, and sort of a way to apologize for the disaster that was my actual wedding dress. There were a lot of discrepancies and inconsistencies from the beginning to end. Communication was extremely limited. I paid a lot of my hard earned money for my dream dress and unfortunately the dress, service, and over all experience was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. Do not make the same mistake I did and blindly trust them to deliver your dream dress. Be extremely cautious every step of the way.
(Review posted before dress ordered/arrived): Had the absolute best experience with DH Bridal. Worked closely with Bridal Stylist Nada over the course of two months. Upon my second visit, Nada greeted me with along her coworkers, Ana and Sonia to select my dress! The entire team was super accommodating to my needs as well as any modifications we needed were agreed upon! Could not be more happy with my dress and the customer service I experienced here!...

These are just a few words to lightly describe the impeccable quality, outstanding customer service and swift pace that Dina Hawidi bridal team showcased during my first-time experience working with the brand.
I initially heard of the Dina Hawidi Bridal brand from close family members and friends, who ranted and raved about the brand's distinguished European-inspired design and customizable modest aesthetic. As a young woman who chose to wear the hijab more than a decade ago, I never wanted to compromise my unique fashion sense at the expense of my conservativeness and devotion to my faith especially during the most memorable moment of my entire life. Within the fashion industry I always felt that not much attention was paid to the needs of women who wear hijab and choose to dress conservatively; that was until I heard about Dina Hawidi Bridal. I didn't think it was fair that the price I had to pay for looking my utmost best required me to settle for mundane quality and poorly-designed clothing; or much worse---beautiful and intricately designed clothing that did not cover my body, so I definitely wanted to consider investing my time and money with DH Bridal Boutique.
I did not realize how extravagant and detail-oriented the dresses were until I had the pleasure of booking an in-store appointment with the Dina Hawidi bridal team within a month before my blessed engagement party. I was greeted by Dina herself, who treated me with the utmost respect, attention and care during every single step of the process. Before booking my appointment, I shared with the team some of photos for inspiration providing variability in shades, design and material; Dina Hawidi herself took into account the aesthetical preferences I had and during my appointment I tried on four beautifully-designed and woven evening dresses. It was love at first sight when I saw the sexy, sophisticated, sizzling red dress that was elaborately detailed with beading, fringed sleeves and labyrinthic stitch work. I was mesmerized, this was definitely THE DRESS; and when I tried on the dress it fit like a glove and surpassed my expectations in both quality and design. Dina Hawidi took my experience to another level of excellence by providing me with the option of seeking an alteration service that met my specific needs ( I wanted to change the color of the underlay and add more volume to the bottom of this statement dress) and providing her designer expertise to truly customize this dress and make it mine. I have provided a short video clip that exhibits the amazing quality of my dress; but kindly take heed for this video does not do any justice to this masterpiece. My family members and closest friends were stunned and amazed during my engagement party at the beauty of my dress; and this definitely could not have been achieved without the excellence, elegance and sophistication provided from the Dina Hawidi bridal brand. I will never forget how beautiful I felt, and I am prospectively choosing Dina Hawidi bridal as the designer for my wedding dress. Words cannot express how grateful and blessed I am for coming across this rare gem; excellence and elegance at it's finest is embodied in this brand. As a woman of color who wears hijab I literally felt like a queen, divine and pristine. Thank...
Read moredina hawidi is amazing. i got married dec 30 2021 and iâve yet to write my review bc i just kept forgetting.
anyways hereâs my HONEST story with this shop, i found my dress the first day i went in and fell in love with it, fast forward a couple months my dress came in and i went to try it on. i knew something was wrong with it, the sleeve wouldnât go over my shoulder and it was unimaginably tight, like to the point i couldnât breathe. i have very skinny arms and the sleeves looked like they were made for a child. i felt really disappointed and upset, but i didnât say anything much. at the time dina wasnât there, only her sales associates. and they said that if i get it adjusted itâll be fine. oh also it had ripped as i was trying it on and they still thought it was normal. i think they just werenât trained well at that time but yeah it was really terrible and i felt like i was taken advantage of. also the veil they gave me with it was just not my taste and it wasnât even a straight cut line. overall i was extremely upset. but i had hope that the tailor would fix it (again i was extremely upset i had to pay more to fix a dress i shouldnât have to fix).
so i went to the tailor, basically the tailor was shocked at how bad everything was, and she literally said that weâre just gonna have to completely rip the sleeves and cut the dress to make it fit. also mind you i had to drive like an hour for this tailor. so i was absolutely livid at this point and i left dina a long message. i paid thousands for the dress veil and headpiece in total, so the fact that i had to take it to a tailor and they basically ripped it all up so that they can make it work was completely unacceptable.
dina took NO time in changing everything around for me. she was completely understanding and she ordered me a completely new dress, veil, headpiece, and even a petti coat. she told me that my wedding dress shouldnât have to be fixed and i paid for a new one so thatâs exactly what im gonna get. dina was so sweet and literally upgraded the veil which iâm sure the veil costed way more than the original i paid for because it was covered in pearls. she upgraded my headpiece and gave me a complimentary petticoat from her shop. anyways my whole point in this is, dina is exceptional when it comes to customer service. iâm not sure how aware she was when her sales associates gave me the dress, but the second she heard about my discomfort with the whole situation she took 0 time to flip it around. she made sure she was personally assisting me, she upgraded everything free of charge, she even ordered me shoulder pads herself for my dress! oh and ofc i didnât pay for my trip to the tailor either, she covered everything. anyways overall, sheâs an angel. mistakes happen in businesses no one can act like everything goes perfect at a business. but what matters is how the owner deals with it. she made my experience so personal and beautiful. for that i...
