I have been ordering from Cafe Sicilia on Matlock for over three years, and have loved there food. Tonight I ordered two 10pc wings and a large New York style Pizza, $30bucks plus the tip, which is always generous. I get my food, pizza looks great but the wings have 8 in one box and 9 pieces in the other. Some might say it’s no big deal, but hey I want what I paid for. So I call and speak to the person who answered the phone and she tells me you receive a 10 piece for Dine in and an eight piece for carry out. Then she told me that on her menu it says 8 pieces. I told her I’m looking at the menu online and it says 10 and I offered to send a screenshot. Then she gets the manager who proceeds to tell me the wings are proportioned by size and not by piece count. And I’m like, so why did you tell me I would receive two 10 pieces? They offer to write my name in a book to get 3 pieces with my next order. At this point I’m likely not going to order again because i feel they don’t appreciate my business. 5 minutes later I get a call from them telling me I’m no longer within the delivery radius and they can’t deliver to me. 😂 I called them back and asked had they moved the store because I hadn’t moved my damn 🏡. I was actually 😡, but had to laugh 😂 and write this post to cool off. So disrespectful!!!!
Update: I'm just reading the response to my post 12-19-18 9 months later. I see where they said there owner would reach out to me directly. Surprise! They never did...... And what about the discrepancies between the manager and employees stories. The fact that they took time out to call me back and tell me they couldn't deliver to me because I actually wanted...
Read moreI am compelled to express my profound disappointment with the service we received at this establishment. My 77-year-old grandmother, my family of five, and I endured a frustrating 40-minute wait despite multiple assurances of a mere few more minutes delay. The wait didn't bother me it was the staff allowing numerous other patrons and their groups of four to bypass us, even though we offered to accommodate seating arrangements by splitting our group. The visible abundance of available tables only added to our perplexity and mounting irritation.
Repeated attempts to seek clarification or at least an apology from the front desk were met with a disheartening indifference. When I finally voiced that their lack of attention felt disrespectful, the response was stubbornly unapologetic, devoid of the basic hospitality one would expect from a family-owned venue that supposedly prides itself on community relations.
For a mom-and-pop restaurant, where service is as crucial as the food, the lack of courtesy and professionalism we experienced was not only surprising but unacceptable. This was a regrettable visit, and I am hesitant to recommend this place to others until significant improvements are made in customer service.
The response about reservations does not match our experience; the real issue was the dismissive and rude behavior of the...
Read moreLiterally just left this restaurant incredibly dissapointed and angry. Tried it off of the good reviews and I don't understand why. Ordered mozzarella sticks and they were all busted open from being over cooked. Husband got a tossed salad which was water logged and gross. He got the lasagna which was ok, but nothing special worth getting again. What pissed me off is that I ordered the Capellini Broccoli which is suppsed to be Angel Hair Pasta sauteed with Broccoli in a Garlic, Lemon and Wine Sauce. It came to me more like a orange soup. The noodles where severely overcooked and mushy, the sauce was disgusting, and the broccoli was pretty much raw. I went to talk to the "manager" and I asked why my meal came to me looking like an orange soup, and she said that's what it's supposed to be. I said I didn't know garlic came in an orange color and she said that's what happens when you cook it in white wine, WRONG. She didn't even apologize to me for it being terrible and only argued with me!!! Comped the salad and my meal, but our tab was still $20. She was rude and we will never be going back and don't recommend you waste your hard...
