This place is a cooperative where multiple dealers sell their products, with a single checkout process so you're not dealing with multiple payments. It's an interesting place to spend a rainy afternoon looking over stuff but, as you might expect with so many dealers under one roof, the quality of the merchandise varies from very nice to junky. It's quite common for me to see things there that I think are beautiful even if I don't necessarily want to own them myself and once in a while I look over a section and think I've thrown away nicer stuff than they are selling.
Sometimes you can pick up an outrageous bargain; sometimes the prices might best be described as "optimistic". And because it's a cooperative the dealers themselves aren't necessarily there, so negotiating on the price may or may not work.
All sales are final, so for myself I'd be wary of buying anything where the specific functionality is a critical part of the item (e.g. clocks or electrical items that you can't verify are working...

Read moreHave purchased some swell stuff here over the years. Some exhibitors still take great care and pride in their selections along with the arrangements. (After all, half the fun of antiquing is finding novel and artful ways to display historical treasures.) But the place starts to take a tawdry turn towards the flea market and soap vendoring the closer you get to the back on the first level. On the second floor, the effrontery is complete and not worth the stair climb. (Be careful not to trip over all the clutter and outright junk.) So stick to the first floor and towards the front. It's where they wear...
