Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Armagh Township

The staff was goofing off in the background. Not watching the register and we had to press the bell and wait like 15 mins for 1 person out of 8 other workers (who were all standing around in the back) to cone out and take our order. And then whenever someone needed ice water they just handed them a cup and walked back to the back with the other workers and were laughing and carrying on. Then whenever there was no button on the machine to get water, this person went back up to the counter/register and was waiting 10-15 mins for someone to walk over. When asked where the button was for the water, the guy had this really bad attitude and took the cup and was like ugh I'll get it. And walked away. Other than the disrespectful staff and slow service, The ice cream I have to say was super creamy and good. I find it so much better than the DQ in State College. The food was fine, normal Dairy Queen stuff. However, one of the staff members alerted us at it was past closing time while we were eating our meal. They closed at 10 and it was 10:01. We said ok and tried to eat faster. While we ate she glared at us from behind the counter and made really loud, rude comments about us to the other workers. I could hear her quite clearly say “ I literally don’t understand, I told them we’re closed and they’re just sitting there, they’re not even eating.” Her constant griping made us feel very unwelcome and kind of ruined our meal. All in all we left at 10:10, and I know how it feels when customers hang around after closing, I've been there. But you should never make your customers feel like that. I wish I had...

We go to this dairy Queen year round and primarily use the drive through. Service is good and speed is ok, considering they are serving people at the counter at the same time. We love the blizzards of the month. Overall, we enjoy coming here for the ice cream. The prices can be a bit steep but the portions they give you and taste are great.

The one downside of this location is the customer service and staff. The staff are overwhelmingly young (teenagers). While they appear to try, their service can be slow and the products they give are poor. I once was in drive through and waited 15 minutes for my blizzard. They couldn't find my blizzard and one employee who stood around the whole time found my blizzard...
