I am a car guy. Currently own two Porsches one Cayenne and one Macan both 2021 Also 2 lexus, one bmw and a ford truck. I tried to buy both Porsches from Asheville Porsche but the horrible service from sales people had me going elsewhere to someone who has manners and follows up.
I understand people are busy, and people have bad days that is why I have not given a review prior to today but after three times being in the store and three times being treated horribly I could not hold back.
I went in initially for a Cayenne. Dave said they did not have any. He suggested test drive a Macan. I thought why not so did. Was not the car we wanted for the Northwest where we are going to garage it.
Dave was not interested in helping me locate or order a Porsche. I asked him to call me when he had more time. (I did show up without and appointment so no big deal) Never got a call back. So I called and spoke with the sales manager who was confused and said they had two new Cayennes on the floor. He explained Dave had been on vacation so must have missed it. Again, life happens whatever. We talked about the cars I told them I would be there in 30 minutes to test drive and pay cash if it was what I wanted. I arrived and was told it had sold. So went bought the car in Utah.
Then comes time for a car for Asheville. I love the Cayenne so much i wanted another Porsche but honestly the price tag of two Cayennes was too much so I was all in for a Macan S. Spoke with Dave again. He said they had two. I called asked for details and if he would email me the window sticker. No response. I bought a Macan S in Charlotte last week. I was in a rush so they did not have the time they needed to set up the Porsche Connect App.
I called the store for service for the Macan I bought in Charlotte who by the way are great. Spoke with two people and was told it was a super simple process they had spoken to the sales manager and I could just come in to the Asheville store. Came in and spoke with Dave (who had previously showed zero interest in wanting to help my order a car and did not call me back as he promised twice). Gave the name of the person I was told to ask for and was told "Nope try again" as he started to walk away. After further inquiry he actually yelled at me when I advised I would no longer like to discuss with him." After he stormed off and went into the office where he was clearly told to have some manners he returned and was not as rude but kept mentioning he had appointments. Which I responded that's find just get me someone who can help.
After the General manager came down at my request and clearly cares less about representing Porsche well than his salesman.
I had bought 3 cars from this dealer before Flow bought them. I will never buy anything from them again. I suggest you run as fast as you can to a dealer who cares about Porsche Customers. Never been treated by a car dealership...
Read moreService issues are never a joy. My wife and I were vacationing in Asheville and had a warning light in our 911 Turbo S stating the tire was low. We were disappointed considering we had planned to visit the tail of the dragon just west of Asheville. Clearly, there is no way I was about to take a road down with nearly 300 corners on a suspect tire. We first stopped at Discount Tire and tried to get a “quick fix”. Turns out, Discount will not work on the vehicle. Off to Asheville Porsche we went hoping they could fit us in and get us back on the road. Now don’t get me wrong, I haven’t had the best luck with Porsche dealers. Unfortunately, for whatever it is, they always seem “snooty” and “lacking in service”. Asheville Porsche is far from my “typical experience”. The service members and manager were beyond helpful and prompt to help us in every way possible to get us “in and out”. They quickly ushered us to a very cozy waiting area where they offered us refreshments and light snacks. They also turned on the British Open to pass the time. After about 30 minutes, we became a little stir crazy. The service member had come to us just about that time and offered an update on the car. We asked, “how long it would take” where he quickly ran back and received a window of 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on how quickly they could “find the leak”. He went on and offered to shuttle us to a local brewery in town. We accepted. About 5 minutes later, we were off and heading to the brewery while they continued to assess the car. After about 30 minutes, we received a call from the service manager notifying us the car was fine and the car simply needed to be “re-calibrated”. They urged us not to rush back and finish up but our car was ready and waiting. After we closed, we hopped in an uber and went back to Porsche. The car was washed and waiting! How about that!! To top it all off I paid literally nothing for the service. I can’t tell you how impressed I was when I drove away. If/when I buy my next Porsche, I may just drive to Asheville Porsche instead of local Charlotte because they are THAT GOOD. Highly recommend Asheville Porsche to...

It is the 2025 911 Carrera S...
This happened today, June 26, 2025:
Since the early 80's I have dreamed of owning a Porsche 911. But, I also wanted to give to my community, so I decided to become a police officer. After dedicating my career to law enforcement for 20 years I had all but given up on owning a 911. Then, I fell into a second career where, after dedicated saving, I found myself in a position where I have the means. Through searching the online "finder" from the Porsche USA Website, I found the perfect 911 S here at Asheville NC listed for just over $186k. The car is lated to arrive next month - July. Eagerly I reached out, only to be ignored for a full day. Then, when someone reached out the following occurred.
I offered a Downpayment to reserve the car. They advised that because of my zip code, they would not allow me to reserve the car. My money was no good to them. What they would allow (get this) is that if the car does not sell, they will allow me the privilege of driving there and giving them my $186K then, and only then. So they will kindly allow me to be their back up - their safety net.
Seriously - what kind of customer service is that?
And TBH, I now feel they will blacklist me across all Porsche Dealerships. But I also will say that it is amazing how being slapped in the face like this, after 40+ years of dreaming of owning one of theses car, will leave a very bad taste in one's mouth for the Brand.
REPLYING TO PORSCHE:
Then do NOT Advertise outside your "marketing" area.
It is funny how you have this "recommendation" from Porsche yet the other three dealers I reached out to do not (or they choose a different path). Pure Bias on your part. You have a choice, YOU - ASHEVILLE, but you decide to advertise outside your area then you decided to be elitist and reject simply based on...
