Review of Grandpa’s Cheese Barn
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Grandpa’s Cheese Barn for the first time, and I have to say, it was an absolute delight! We stopped there on our way down to Columbus, and I can confidently say that it was a far better choice than any rest stop.
As soon as we arrived, the charming atmosphere and rustic decor set the stage for a memorable experience. The cafe offered a cozy spot to enjoy lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of delicious options on the menu. I opted for a grilled cheese sandwich, and it was — perfectly toasted bread with gooey, melty cheese that was rich in flavor. It was nice to enjoy something made with love rather than the typical fast food offerings.
After grabbing a bite, we couldn’t resist exploring the cheese shop. The selection was incredible! From classic cheddar to unique flavored cheeses, there was something for every palate. I ended up picking up a few different types to take home, and they did not disappoint.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, eager to help us navigate the wide array of products. It’s clear that they take pride in what they offer, and their passion for cheese shines through.
Overall, Grandpa’s Cheese Barn is a true Ohio gem that I highly recommend. Whether you're passing through or looking for a fun day trip, make sure to stop in for a great meal and some fantastic cheese. I can't...

One of the highlights of my visit was meeting a talented gentleman who crafting baskets. He was not only skilled but also incredibly welcoming, adding a joyful atmosphere to the shop. It’s clear that the staff truly enjoys what they do, and that enthusiasm is contagious!
Now, let’s talk about the products—absolutely delicious! I left with a selection of their amazing cheeses and sweets, all of which were top-notch. Each bite was a treat, and I can’t wait to indulge in them again.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this gem. Trust me, you’ll leave with not just great products, but also a smile on your face! If I’m the one driving next time, I’ll definitely...
Read moreNice place to stop off the freeway for a break and a “ little snack”. The cheese barn is two floors, the upper has the cheeses and most of the meats, dips, mixes and every possible pickled item you can imagine. Pricey for cheeses, most range 20-30 dollars a pound, some less, but not a lot. Of course, the cheeses are cut in much smaller portions for sale. MANY of the cheeses, dips, jellies, pickles and meats are out for samples, definitely giving you a chance to sample before buying, which is perfect. Home smoked bacon to die for, which we bought along with pumpkin spiced Gouda. Outstanding. Downstairs is a small snack bar with many more items. Seems Grandpa’s distributes many cheeses and meats made for their name, but I don’t think they actually MAKE any of them, maybe they do, like Guggisberg or Heinies cheese factory in Berlin. Five stars for selection, but overall four stars based on the prices. Worth a stop. Didn’t go in Sweetie’s...
