DO NOT GO HERE!! I have never had a worse experience staying at a hotel/motel than the experience my fiancé and I had staying here. Extremely gross - we literally found live bedbugs - and the staff were no help at all.
My fiancé and I checked into our room and set our bags next to the door, we figured that we would unpack and get comfortable in the room after we returned from getting food. Upon coming back to the room that night and sitting on the bed I noticed a bug moving across the bed. My fiancé and I went to the front counter where we were told that there was nothing they could at all, we had checked in hours ago and because of that we would need to wait for the morning until the manager was in. They would not even switch our room. Getting back into our room we looked around and we found a few more bedbugs along with stained sheets from the bedbugs. We literally slept on the floor because we, like most people, cannot afford to buy 2 hotel rooms for one night. It was 25°F outside and at least we had a warm room to be in that night, although we barely got any sleep in it. In the morning my fiancé and I returned the the front desk where the manager told us there are no bedbugs in the entire hotel without even looking in our room. When he checked our room after we asked him to he confirmed that he found a bedbug, he told us that we probably brought it in with our stuff. He said that there was nothing he could do at all and that we needed to call Motel 6 national customer service.
You can judge for yourself. The first picture is the live bug we found crawling on our bed. The second picture is a dead bug that was on the bed frame next to the mattress. And the third picture shows blood and bedbug droppings staining the linens, showing that this problem is not a one-night occurrence. Currently my fiancé and I are dealing with Motel 6 national customer service, this location has been absolutely no help at all. My advice is to save your money and to stay far away from this location.
If somehow you have to stay here, avoid room 106. That was our room and they assigned the room to someone else while we were leaving. I would not want anyone else to deal with what we had to deal with here, unfortunately I’m sure this problem is in more than just one room after seeing how the staff handled this situation.
12/27/23 UPDATE Just updating my review because I saw that Motel 6 responded. Just wanted it to be public information that they have not contacted me or my fiancé regarding this at all. We have called numerous times and are always told to sit and wait. They said at first that this may take a week, 11 business days (almost 3 full weeks) have gone by and nothing from Motel 6.
LAST UPDATE: My fiancé and I have finally received a partial refund from Motel 6 for this stay, the refund was under 30 dollars. I would advise anyone reading this to stay away from this location.
Wildest thing to me during this whole ordeal was how many positive reviews this location has. Something is definitely going on at this motel and I’m not...
Read moreFront desk wanted $ 56.00for hotel room. Saw a sign in the lobby that said to book online for a cheaper rate. Told the lady no thanks and left. Checked out the website...booked a room for under $ 40. Went back to front desk...Elizabeth told me I couldn't have the rate I booked online because it was a special "CLC" rate. I showed her my confirmation and the Motel6 website. No where did it claim to be a CLC rate not even in the fine print...just a regular online rate. She asked what my bottom dollar would be for the hotel room and she would work with me...i told her $ 40 was it. She finally settled on "allowing" me to have the online rate even though she was still adamant it was really only for CLC rate.. she had to "override the system for me". I called the reservation number, they confirmed the price online was the online price, NOT CLC rate as Elizabeth claimed. I get it, she was trying to hustle more money for Motel6 but it was just me...one bed, non-smoking...leaving at 4am...not even eating breakfast. The hotel was nice, but trying to get more money out of me made the whole transaction and stay feel...
Read moreEasily accessible from the interstate. Family owned, friendly, helpful. At check in ... "Will you need shampoo tonight? Here is a handful to take to your room!" Additionally, the low $70 cost was appreciated. Our handicap accessible room was right next to the pool, large, clean, the bed was comfortable. We plugged our Roku into the tv and enjoyed our overnight stay with our 2 cats. Here is the catch....you might as well be sleeping in a tent in the median of the interstate, concerning noise. Im serious, 1000s of desiel 18 wheelers speeding by throughout the night. Fortunately, we have an app that makes cricket sounds that we were able to crank up to "help" muffle 1/3 of the noise. From there, we put the A/C on a constant blowing cycle that cut out another 1/3. As tired as we were the last 1/3 was acceptable. Had we brought earplugs, we would have blocked it all out.
Saying that, YES, we would definitely recommend this motel and will definitely stay again. We will ask for a room as far from the interstate as possible, but if the room we stayed in last night is the only one available, that is where...
