Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ashland

Oh man this is so sad, I worked here for 4 years previously. I counted 5 employees “working”. One girl up front packing orders while taking orders, the manager who pretty much only made sandwiches and packed a couple orders. The one girl who was taking orders and packing even helped drop chicken for the cook. Girl in the back doing dishes was back there for awhile before coming up front to “help”. Only packed orders. When I got in line there was probably only 6 people in line but I waited in line close to 30 minutes if not longer. They stoped taking orders for like 8 minutes at one point, not sure why because all the orders they were waiting on was for chicken that had 6 minutes on it. You have the one girl working up front and the cook and that’s about it, everyone else was just kinda there. Manager not managing, should have pulled the girl doing dishes up front to help. Why have such a short line of 6 people waiting 30 minutes for food. Along with no communication whatsoever for the customers. Very sad to see what crap this place has become. Can’t rate the food yet because I haven’t even received it yet, this review is purely based off my experience waiting in line and what I saw.

Update: waited all this time for food and got old tenders, I know what old tenders look like and for as long as I waited this is pretty insane to me. You have one girl working who is pleasant and apologizes the weight-wish I caught her name but she was the red head. Savannah I think is who the manager called the one girl-definitely...

I witnessed something truly bizarre at this location. A customer (Customer 1) had waited over 30 minutes for their order. This customer was frustrated, rightfully so, but not inappropriate or crazy. Manager told the customer it would be a minute or so. After about a minute the manager yelled "ma'am" and gave her "their" order. Turns out it wasn't theirs and the customer brought it back up. This manager then proceeded to tell the customer that SHE took the wrong order (accusing the customer of taking someone else's order.). The customer was then given the correct order and proceeded to sit and eat. Not done...

Since the first customer was given the wrong order, they now had to remake customer number 2's order. So instead of this manager just keeping her mouth shut and handing out food. She proceeded out to the lobby to personally deliver customer number 2's order. Proceeds to tell customer number 2 (less then 5 foot away from the first customer) "That crazy lady with two kids right here took your order, I'm sorry". So, of course customer 1 reacts with yelling, while putting customer 2 in a really awkward position.

Like I said, it was absolutely bizarre, if it was my restaurant, that manager would be terminated. The situation aaa extremely inappropriate, in front of at least 25 customers at that. Several couldn't believe what this manager was doing, and several stated they would never be back.

Extremely poor customer service, and extremely poor situation deescalation and handling. I will...

Very disappointed in the overall expirence! First the counter lady could not answer any questions and then the chicken lady did not listen and almost gave me Spicy instead of mild chicken and was very rude. I did not think I had to count my chicken at the store but I guess I should have cause they gave me 7 instead of 8 pieces that I ordered and they were so tiny the breasts looked like thighs...so sad! And when looking at my receipt I realized they charged me for the sauces and never told me they would cost and on top of it they gave me the wrong sauces so I paid for sauces that went in the trash! I tried to call them but it just go to a answering machine and I will probably not get a call back and with the gas prices I can't afford to drive 30 minutes back for a trade on sauces and a missing piece of chicken. Thanks popeyes you use to be my favorite place to eat but with the smaller amounts of food and higher prices I would of still came around but not with the rudeness, missing food and untold extra costs (that were never there before) it is just not worth it. Count your chicken everyone and watch your receipts don't let them take more money!!! Update like I thought, they never did call me back go figure I am just...
