This is the worst pharmacy. I've had repeated issues with them, but the incident I described below made me leave this review and go back to CVS. I chose this Walgreens because they are super close to my house, but I've lost hours trying to pick up prescriptions for me and my family. On the morning of Sep 12, I got two messages about my ADHD prescription which is a controlled substance 1. asking me if I want my prescription refilled and 2. Informing me there is an issue with my insurance, therefore my prescription is delayed. I went in on Sep 12 to give them my insurance card and make sure everything was ok and I was told that the reason for the delay is actually that my medication can only be picked up starting Sep 13 and that my insurance is in fact OK. I was told to come in "tomorrow". When I asked them if there's an easier way to learn about the status of my insurance, they told me to call the general number. I had to insist to get the local pharmacy number and they told me they only pick up calls during certain hours of the day. I went back on the 13th (next day aka today), and I was told I needed to go back on the 17th because that's when my prescription will actually be available. As you can see from the first screenshot, I have never replied that I wanted the prescription re-filled. If it can only be picked up after a certain date, why are you even asking me if I want it now? I want it when it's ready and I for sure don't want to waste my time going to the pharmacy and leave without the medication. Just tell me to come pick it up in a week. Every time I try to use their website to check the status, they redirect me to calling the local pharmacy. All I can see (screenshots attached) is that the prescription is delayed (no reason) and the pharmacy schedule, which honestly it's redundant, given that I can find that on Google. Again I don't have an issue with having to pick up the prescription another day, it's the fact that in order to learn the status of the prescription I have to talk to staff who give me contradicting information. Therefore I end up going back and forth like a lunatic. Just tell me when I can pick it up via message or app or website and have a proper message to inform people about the actual reason of the delay. We are in 2025. They also close at 6PM (vs CVS at 8PM) which if I need to pick up an antibiotic prescription for our son after an unexpected urgent care visit is impossible to do that same day. I've also had trouble with them not being able to fill simple prescriptions same day and needed to wait 24-48 hours. _____ Update on my previous review. The 1-star rating still stands. According to the last person I spoke with, my prescription should have been ready on the 17th of Sep. Since I haven't gotten any update and the prescription status was still "delayed" on the website (as seen in the attached screenshot), I called (today on the 18th). I was told that THERE IS in fact an issue with my insurance and that they need a pre-approval letter from my healthcare provider. They told me that they've sent a note to my doctor and they're awaiting the letter. The letter will take another 3-5 business days and I assume a few more days are needed for the insurance and the pharmacy to process the prescription. Wouldn't have been more efficient if they told me about this when I first went in - a week ago - and this issue would have been resolved in the few days I had until my next pickup? It's nice to dream, eh?

I went to return and item that I changed my mind on I had me receipt and the product was unopened and I paid cash. The woman at the register asked me for my ID to return an item. In my past experience an ID is usually required for a no receipt return. The employee stated that she too has to present her id for a return.

I have never been asked for an ID for a return with a receipt. Clearly she thought I must of stole the item or something.

There was a woman who was paying at the register next to me. She then walked out at the same time I did. She stopped me and said that was so rude and unacceptable for me to be treated like that. I will never ever go back to this store again. That encounter was very rude and very...

Most disorganized pharmacy I’ve ever worked with. They lose prescriptions, forget to call back, hang up on you after you’ve been on hold for an hour. Two weekends ago when I had an important prescription to pick up and they announced on Saturday morning that the pharmacy would be closed due to something unexpected happening, and they didn’t reopen until Tuesday (I wasn’t able to even transfer my medication and was stuck waiting). I don’t know if they are grossly understaffed or what, but this is the worst pharmacy I have ever...
