M&O Spirits — Local services in Ashville

I can't say enough good things about M&O. Just to prove the point, we currently have four different bottles at home with one more soon to join them. The owners, Mike and Doug are great guys and incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing. Doug is a distilling genius, because what M&O is putting out can go up against any other brand in the country and come out on top. I've talked to folks from other distilleries and even they can't stop singing M&O's praises. And while their primary focus is on their whiskey and bourbon, they have the best vodka on the market, hands down. Seriously, I defy you to find a better vodka out there! I've seen people who don't like vodka, take a bottle home with them after sampling it. Do yourself a favor, take a trip down to Ashville, OH, tour their place and then take home a bottle....or three. I’ve had the pleasure of tasting M&O’s products over the last few years and I’m becoming more and more of fan as the years go by! My favorite is "Black," It’s a smooth, easy-sipping bourbon with lots of layers and a satisfying finish that lingers. I’ve been able to taste all of their other products and overall every product was very smooth and complex. A pleasant surprise would also be their “Pumpkin Spice” holiday spirit. Very subtle pumpkin flavor that doesn’t overpower....

In all fairness I have not visited this distillery. My review is based on their triple distilled double oaked black bourbon whiskey. This is a two year old bourbon that lacks any depth on the nose and has a very short if non existent finish on the palate. It’s not worth the MSRP.
