I came here to get 6 fillings done and 3 out of the 6 could have killed me. One of the fillings in particular I am still trying to get healed with another dentist. On the day of my fillings being done there should not have been 3 dentist in my mouth (Dr Geiger, her assistant, and another dentist). After 1 week post operation with Plus One Dental, the fillings done on my right bottom molars were continuing to ache, causing me immense pain to where I needed to take painkillers and use a heat pad on my jaw. Everyone around me told me that fillings shouldn’t hurt, especially that bad, but Dr.Geiger told me that the fillings were deep so there would be pain. After 1-2 weeks I got on antibiotics after going to an urgent care. The lymph node on the right side of my neck began to swell and I’d gotten strep throat. I had began to have back to back panic attacks every night thinking that the teeth there had gotten infected and were leading to me becoming septic. I went back to Dr.Geiger to get my bite fixed the 3rd week post operation. As I was getting my bite fixed I was cut on my tongue by the drill. I let the nick be and after she was done I mentioned that the teeth were really painful and I’d gotten a strep throat. Dr.Geiger told me “I don’t have time to look at that”. I understood because I will admit I came in as a “squeeze in” because I missed my appointment the day before. However, after going to my new dentist and being treated with such patience and care, I now know that the treatment I received with Dr.Geiger was inappropriate especially for an owner. I had work that day too AND I am an hourly employee. I live 50 minutes away from Plus One Dental and had to drop everything to be seen because I genuinely thought that I was dying and was praying for anyone to give me answers. Things happen and these things shouldn’t dictate how you decide to treat a person, more so a patient. After a week from adjusting my bite and being on antibiotics (1 month post operation), my lymph node was not changing in size and I was still in pain, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. Not only did my new dentist take X-rays and let me know that the 3 teeth that were “filled” and causing me pain still had decay in them, but she let me see that the filling itself was just a lump in the middle of my tooth, so much space left between the decay and filling. This led me to think why did Dr.Geiger’s front desk lady even take my x rays after the fillings were done? Why is the front desk even touching the patients? I used to work as a front desk admin and I had never touched a patient much less took x rays of them post operation. And for two, why didn’t Dr.Geiger or literally any other dentist there see that my teeth still had decay and poor filling after the x rays were taken? If I had never gotten a second opinion these would have led to an infection! I have been getting treated by another dentist and my pain and swollen lymph node are gone with one molar still being...
Read moreGreat Dentist but her front desk staff is horrible!!! (Well to be fair it's only one person the rest of th staff was nice but one person can ruin the whole experience) The lady at the front desk rushed me through scheduling my appt so I was unsure of what procedures was taking place or what my insurance had approved me for. Once I arrived I had question that I was unable to ask during my scheduling and all I got was attitude and even when the Dr. asked her about my options her response was rude and unprofessional " Can yall stop asking me stuff and stick to what is scheduled" Which I heard over the walkie-talkies they use to communicate. If I was properly informed on what I requested and what was approved by my insurance from the start there would have not been a problem and I would have tried to scheduled and pay for everything at once. I have back surgery scheduled and wanted to get everything done before because I am unsure of the recovery process and I am a single mother so time is very important . I enjoyed the Dr. GIna but her staff member killed...
Read more1st visit was very impressive. The first contact was the receptionist who gave a warm welcome upon my entrance. She has a very professional and friendly energy that extends to all patients. It must be genuine because I had to call her the next day and she extended the same professionalism. My next contact was the dental assistant and he was professional and explained the procedures he would be doing. Last, I net the dentist, who entered the exam room introducing herself. The doctor explained the procedure and the dental plan, asking if I had any concerns or questions. I'm looking forward to a long-term relationship for proper healthy dental care. The only drawback is limited...
