It was completely dead in there. Me and my father stopped by for his birthday meal. He wanted some JR. Crickets so bad. I read the reviews before we order and told him this was not a good idea. But he insisted we eat here. Let's just start off by. They brought me a Publix water for a dollar brought my father a Sprite for 2.75 so he orders the fisherman's platter which comes with clams, fish and shrimp and fries. I ordered the wings and shrimp. The The wings tasted old because of the grease. I have been any wings for over 35 years. I know how old grease taste. Add my long-time friends to own that one 25 years ago. So I'll total was $44 plus $8 gutility which is 20%. So when I tell the young lady I don't want to pay that because you only brought me a water and my father a. Sprite. You never even brought out food. The other waitress brought our food. So you want a $8 for bringing me a water or Sprite take him out order or my bad? And you brought me the blue cheese and condiments after my food. It already been there for 3 minutes while you were doing staff duties, folding napkins, making boxes and cleaning up. All I have to say is the young lady with the small afro was very rude. She snatched the reader from my hand. When I said I did not want you give her $8 that I will give her six. She called the attitude and got the manager. Which Amanda was at the bar all the time eating, enjoying her food and mingling with customers. After the fact the manager came over and said is there anything she could do but I had already paid. So she got $8 for nothing and I thought I was going to write a review and she said so what. Attached is my 3 pictures of the shrimp drinks and receipt. My server name was Shakira G. Very rude. What's upset? When I said something about the $8 tip she snatched the reader out of my hand, the card reader. She went and been told her manager but by then it was too late. I had already paid. The manager was trying to refund the money but like I told her you can't make me pay 20%. And she says I know you can't make anyone pay anything. You can only ask. So why is it...
Read moreFood is high, the restaurant adds 20% off the rip to your tab therefore they do not attempt to please you and the Manager in the red wig is terrible! My husband and I visited after work. I ordered 10 hot wings crispy with fries. I received 10 hot wings soft with extra crispy fries instead. He ordered 10 medium wings crispy and 10 lemon pepper crispy with celery. He received 10 hot wings soft and 10 lemon pepper wings crispy with fries instead. He asked for celery and tried to eat the wings because he was unable to enjoy the "hot" wings he notified the bartender who had taken the order who in turn said that she would have to let the manager know. When the manager (with the red wig) delivered us the corrected order my husband asked if there was a new cook as both our orders were wrong. He told her the food was not as good as it usually is and the wings were hot not medium nor were they crispy and he suggested that she taste the food coming out the kitchen. I guess she FOOLISHLY thought that he wanted her to taste the food from his plate. She smugly told him that she doesnt eat chicken and even if she did she would not taste it, cause she "knows" the food is good. When he told her that the food is not good! She immediately began to gaslight the conversation accusing him of being aggressive. that she would band him and so forth then she began to mock him. She knew exactly what buttons to push and how to weaponize the men around her as a shield all the while pretending to be the innocent one. Women like this get men hurt trying to protect them. My husband was not being aggressive he simply was not going to stand for her direspectful attitude. The owner needs to re-train this particular manager as she is usually sitting out on the patio or somewhere inside flirting with the male customers she calls "friends" instead of working. It is obvious that she herself doesn't like to be corrected therefore she can not properly redirect. train or correct her staff. Trent Floyd Do something with her cause she is BAD...
Read moreI visited JR Crickets on June 7th, 2023 for dinner and to watch a basketball game, and I must say that my experience left a lot to be desired. The main reason for my disappointment was the poor service and lack of professionalism displayed by the management.
Firstly, the menu listed domestic beers at $3 without specifying whether it was for a draft or bottle. However, when the bill arrived, I was charged $4.95 per beer, with the explanation that it only applied to bottled beers. This lack of clarity in the menu's pricing information is misleading to customers and should have been clearly stated.
When I approached the manager, Mr. Trent Floyd, to discuss this issue, I was met with rudeness and hostility. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, Mr. Floyd dismissed my complaint and even went so far as to become aggressive. As a paying customer, I believe that such behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment.
The overall treatment I received from the management was disappointing, to say the least. Customer service should be a top priority for any business, and sadly, this was not the case at JR Crickets. It is disheartening to encounter such unprofessional conduct from a business owner.
I strongly advise potential patrons to reconsider visiting JR Crickets, as my experience suggests that they prioritize their interests over customer satisfaction. Transparency and respectful customer interactions should be fundamental aspects of any reputable establishment, and it is evident that these values were sorely lacking at JR Crickets.
In light of my experience, I hope that the management of JR Crickets takes the necessary steps to improve their customer service and provide clear and accurate pricing information. Customers deserve better treatment, and it is my sincere hope that this review encourages the necessary changes to prevent others from encountering a similar...
