Seed Atlanta — Local services in Atlanta

First of all, a lot of these products are overpriced!!!!! I ordered 4 plants from SeedAtlanta on 04/24/24. Plants “allegedly” shipped on 04/29/24. Package received on 5/12. Label was created however parcel service advised they did not have the package also no update on the website when I used the tracking number provided. I will say that the sellers communication at first was a 9/10 but has quickly become a 0/10 as I have not heard anything regarding the items that I received after reaching out multiple times. They ran an awesome 40% off sale that was promoted by plant enthusiasts social media influencer “Paige” who has a huge following so I was like ok cool I’m comfortable ordering from this company since it was promoted by a reliable source. WRONG! 2/4 plants were completely dead. All 4 plants dry with soil falling out of the pots. No form of protection in the box to prevent as much damage as possible. My mother in law also ordered plants from this company and got the same results. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed because I recommended a few other people to order plants from this company (not sure if they did). $250 later I have 2 dead plants 1 in plant ICU and one is surviving (after a repot) If you go get your plants in person then you will probably be ok. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experiences have been at Seed Atlanta. The quality of the plants and the customer service are outstanding! I’m a newer plant mom. During my first visit, the owner was patient when I asked numerous questions pertaining to plant care. She assisted me with selecting the best plants for my lifestyle. She carefully loaded the plants in my vehicle. I’ve been so impressed with the customer service and variety of plants Seed Atlanta offers that I’ve returned multiple times to purchase more plants. The owner promptly responds to my direct messages on Instagram when I have additional questions about plant care. She even repotted plants that I purchased from another vendor prior to discovering Seed Atlanta. When I visit Seed Atlanta, the owner remembers me and inquires about plants I’ve previously purchased from her. My plants are beautiful and healthy. I'm very middle ground about this establishment, hence the three stars.

There was a great selection of plants and she does a great job of finding what you need. I asked her if she was passionate about plants since she had this business, and she told me that money was her motivation; it wasn't a passion of hers. That was off-putting.

I went during the Mother's Day sale. Once I got home with the plant, I realized that there was another price under the "sale" price tag. She upped the price of the plant so that when the 40% off was applied, it brought the plant down to the original price (the sticker underneath). I paid about $50 and the original price was $30.

It was clever, but it emphasizes what she said about money being her motivation. I wish I had taken a picture of the two stickers.
