I wanted to love this place based on the IG posts from different social media foodie influencer pages…However, it was very overrated. I asked my friends to come here to celebrate my birthday. First off, it is $20 to park. Second of all, service is SLOW. I had a party of six and they brought plates our food out at random times. The last person to actually get their food waited almost an hour from the time she ordered. Another person in my party just canceled their order because it never came out. The drinks are small…like a four ounce cup. Also, I specifically came here because they serve brunch until 7pm. I had a few members of my party running late due to traffic but it was 6:45pm so me and my other friends sat down because it’s a two hour limit at the table. Once seated and our waitress finally came, it was a few minutes BEFORE 7pm. And she said that brunch was over. I literally had just asked the hostess before I sat down is it still brunch until 7pm. The waitress caved in and took my brunch order. We also let our waitress know about our disappointment with the food service and it was basically like “oh well.” The music was so loud I could barely talk with friends…The positive was my food was good, chicken and waffles. I also ordered a side of jollof rice because I never had any. My friend said it wasn’t quite authentic jollof rice more so very seasoned rice. I was disappointed but the rice was still good. The hookah was good and well priced. We got there during hookah happy hour so it was only $25. They do have hookah girls who hound you to order hookah, which was somewhat annoying. Even though loud, the music was good too. We were seated right next to the DJ booth so that likely played a factor in the noise level. The DJ even came and asked me specifically if there was a song I wanted to hear so I thought that was nice. Overall, I wanted to like this place so bad but it just didn’t live up to the hype. I was actually embarrassed I asked my friends to come here for my birthday and spend so much money for poor...
Read moreThis place was extremely disappointing and I felt scammed from beginning to end. I saw vibes in Atl’s tiktok reviews and thought I’d try this place out for Sunday brunch. He talked about their $5 drinks and lamb chops and I knew it was too good to be true. Parking is $20 at 3 pm which is not shocking since it’s Atlanta but heads up. It is a cold and rainy day but me and my husband was seated at a table in front of a broken window and were told there is nothing they can do. I mean come on it’s literally 40 degrees and they didn’t think to at least tape the window up. It was freezing our whole meal. I attempted to order two lamb chops and a waffle but was told it’s a three lamb chop minimum, lil misleading because it wasn’t posted anywhere on the menu but fine I thought it was still very affordable. My husband ordered 10 $1 jerk wings and fries. We also ordered two rounds of $5 margaritas each ($20). My lamb chop were the smallest I’ve ever seen. Definitely the smallest lollipops you can get even though the menu stated “medium cut” disappointing but also you get what you pay for so I digress. My waffle was big but kinda tough. Hubby’s wings came out as barbecue and when we called the waiter she said that they don’t have “caribbean jerk” instead they have a kind of jerk bbq. She insisted we try one and they are 100% bbq. Still very confused about that. As we ate there was definitely a lot of people enjoying themselves dancing and drinking and I love to see people enjoy themselves so that is cool but probably why they’ll have 1 star instead 0. The bill finally arrived and our waitress told us the bill was $76 dollars for $20 worth of $5 margs, $15 lamb chops and $10 worth of wings. (Fries and waffle are considered sides). I wasn’t made aware that the extra “fees and charges” are an already included tip until I asked. This seemed extra deceptive since it asked for a tip instead of added tip at the end of service. Overall my experience was definitely no t worth it and I personally...
Read moreSo I really didn’t want to be one of those people that would give a bad review, especially since im a server myself, but as we got there, we were told that since we didn’t make a reservation we had to sit outside, which is understandable, but that is something that should be stated on the website, because if it was known, then we would’ve made a reservation because it was too hot really to sit outside even with the fans Then we got sat around 6:05 6:10 and a girl takes a minute to come over and she asks are we ready to order we mention we don’t have a menu she’s says look it up on your phone I’ll be right back about 10 minutes later OK it seems as a server was coming over, but she turned around so now it is 6:40 and the server has not returned. I go to the front and ask security if he knew how long we’ve been sitting here because we haven’t been served he says he’ll get someone to be right with us. Takes them about another 10 minutes it seems someone who just clocked in and came in greeted us and took care of the care of us but it was unbelievable how we sat there for at least 40 minutes without any kind of service no drinks anything and the wings we’re good and crispy as a not much lemon pepper flavor, and it also still had some of the feathers on the chicken the happy hour drink was very mediocre but of course it’s five dollars you know what can you expect but when I did get a regular price drink it was great. The server who did step in did well at her job, but because of what happened before she got there It was just not the proper service especially for 20% automatic gratuity. And there something else that I was kind of skeptical about speaking on, but I’m pretty sure Some have noticed the colorism in the lounge employees how there is maybe two or three brown skin women, and everyone else is lighter and all the men...
