Super horrible experience with grooming. I took both of my dogs into be groomed one is 8.5 YO and has been groomed on a regular basis his whole life. The other is 4 months and this was his first groom. Upon arrival my first impression was that it was dirty and run down. My older dog was very scared and immediately pooped on the floor in the grooming area. I apologized and asked Gisele if I could have a bag and something to clean it up. She went in the grooming room and came back and said she didn't know where the bags or anything to clean it up was and she would get it later. I noticed over by the couch there was old dried up poop from a previous guest. Mind you we were supposed to be the first appointment of the day. She immediately took both dogs back and I asked her to please give me a call about 20 minutes prior to being done as I did not want them in a kennel. I dropped off at 9:15a. Around 12:45p I called to ask if the dogs would be done soon and inquired about the older one as I knew he was scared. I was told they were doing great and that the puppy had been afraid of the blow dryer so they had put both into a kennel to dry. They would be done in about an hour and a half. Around 2:15 I was called and told they had 15 minutes left. I rushed over there and upon arrival I told Kate I was there to pick up my dogs (specifically by each of their names. She went in the back and came right back up and again asked who I was there to pick up? (They only had 2 other dogs in the kennels) She then came back and said the puppy was done but they had been having a hard time with the older one as he kept trying to bite the clippers. They had me come back and hold him to see if that would comfort him. When I walked back there it was extremely dirty and I noticed a JUUL vape sitting on the grooming table along with a Monster/Rock Star coffee drink. My dog tried to jump into my arms and they had to remove the grooming leash. I could tell he was very anxious and I did my best to calm him. He would not let the staff anywhere near his face with clippers or shears without a lot of coaxing. At one point he shifted his eye so I could see that his entire upper right eye was blood shot. When I asked Kate what happened she said he had been thrashing around. My dog is one of the calmest dogs you will meet. I immediately stopped the grooming session and said we were done. The haircuts were terrible, nothing was even and honestly a grooming student could have done better. The puppy looked like they had trimmed him haphazardly and not much was taken off. The older one had his body done but nothing on his head/ears. When I went up to pay I was charged full price for both even though the puppy was to have been a puppy cut/rate. I left and after a few days my dog's eye had not gotten better and he was now squinting most of the time. I took him to the vet and was told he had a corneal ulcer and that some type of trauma had to have taken place in order for his eye to present the way it did. It is now over 2 weeks since we have been there, and I have had 2 vet visits, 3 different antibiotics and we have a 3rd vet visit scheduled for next week. If you love your dog... DO NOT take them here for grooming! Horrible Horrible grooming staff, and no one bothered to call to see if he...

I ask to have my dog brushed both pre and post 'whatever they do' , they cannot seem to get the post brush down. My dog is usually shedding like crazy, all in my car, after leaving them!
Cat had some knots in his fur, brought him in for the same as dog. Brush first, then wash, then brush again. He came back with more knots than he went in with! Tina was her name that did my cat. She has done that a couple of times.
There usual response to an issue with your pet is to talk to the groomer. They usually just downplay the issue. No refund or lets make this better attitude either.
They have my dog and cat fleas.
The comments made by the store about my personal dislike of Tina are completely inaccurate. She seemed like a very nice person. Yes I expressed, while in the store, I liked what was done to my animals. After arriving home and getting a good look at them did I notice the issues. Amber also called me while I was at work both times, which accounts for my being busy. My animals both came home with flees which weren't noticed until the flees hatched. Your store should be ashamed of the way they act. Customers are always correct and your attitude suggests otherwise. No one attempted to correct the issue thus the review. The attitude of the person calling me should have been we are sorry what can we do to fix. Instead it was, your employees did nothing wrong. That implys I did something wrong! Nice attitude. Either way this is public for everyone to see how u treat customers. Only one groomer was in the store when my cat was groomed, Tina. Please explain then how 3 other supposed groomers checked my cat? Your employees are just covering their butts. Further evidence that my issue is legit. We had to take my cat, in the same day, to our vet because the knots...

My family & I drove more than an hour to visit Val & Nicole at Healthy Pet Natural Pet Care Market. Our goal was to learn more about what food to feed our 5 year old Sheltie and what we could do to minimize him being uncomfortable due to allergies.
Val spent almost 2 hours with us making sense of what food to feed and why , what treats to give and why and what treats not to give and why.
Val & Nicole shared their wealth of knowledge and cared about our dog getting healthier (losing weight) as though our dog was their own.
Throughout the time that we were in Healthy Pet we saw that each and every customer was greeted (almost all by first name). Val & Nicole's (as well as their employees working the day 'Saturday' we were in the store) passion for animals was easy to see.
It's been a week since we were at Healthy Pet and my family & I feel that we are on the right track , thanks to Val , with what to feed our dog.
We have had our dog for 5 years (he's 5 1/2 now) and we thought we knew everything and that we were doing right by what we fed but Healthy Pet (Val & Nicole) set us on the right course and we wouldn't hesitate to go back to Aurora, Illinois to visit...
