Me: the combo 1 says it “also comes in golden BBQ” I’ll take that Them: “combo 2, ok” Me: no. The #1. Them: spicy or regular? Me: the golden BBQ option. That says “also in golden BBQ” Them: spicy or regular ?!?! Me: what? Regular I guess. But I want the golden BBQ on Them: hands me the regular sandwich they made 4 hours ago If I were to guess, based on the fact that my sandwich tasted like they made it at 7 AM and then handed it to me at noon, they seem to be making all of their sandwiches before the lunch rush and if anyone wants to get something that isn’t ordered often they just get mad at you and yell at ”spicy or regular”. As if I am the problem for reading the menu. I get why they would get mad at me and give me the wrong thing for wanting something they have on the menu. So sorry I messed up your routine of handing people hours old, not crunchy at all, soggy sandwiches covered in the condensation of your waterproof bag. My bad.

I am no longer a customer of Popeye’s because of this inconsistent this location is and their poor customer service. Waited in the long drive thru line only to be given the wrong order and not be able to get into the lobby because the doors were locked. Tried calling them but was directed to “user busy” immediately and multiple times. I saw no one using a phone. Had to go up to the window on foot with the receipt and wrong order only for the girl to tell us to get back into the drive thru line to fix the issue. Saw that the line was wrapping around the building and went to the window again to get a refund and leave. Could have easily had us park and wait or hand us the right order then and there.

No diversity, this is Popeyes and no one speaks fluent English. I spent 15 dollars on something I didn’t want because they didn’t understand no I didn’t want this. He(maybe the manager) kept giving me back the SAME EXACT thing I told him I DID NOT WANT. Out of frustration I just said whatever, took it and left. It baffles me that diversity does not matter in the work place I guess only Hispanics eat at Popeyes. Literally gave me a cup full of syrup, diabetes in a cup he didn’t understand “NO JUST GIVE ME LEMONADE”

Went through drive through they mixed up the order and the dog on speaker was low so I felt like I had to yell a bit then she would talk low but then it seem like she would yell too. . So get to the window and the order is mixed up but that seems like a me problem and not their problem I clearly stated large for one of them and well received a small and med then because it wasn't heard right or processed right they had to up charge me now my original receipt was for 24.90 they charged me 3.50 to make the order right... but I kept asking for the receipt at first it was because I paid cash I don't get one then I questioned if I need to document this meal why wouldn't I get a receipt so then they tallied everything up and the total cam out to 28.03. I just didn't like the way that was handled. So by this time, I'm obviously getting on the people nerves 🙄 😒. Me and my coworker and I ordered the same combo different sizes, and I had classic, and he had spicy... so first off, I feel like I don't go to popeys chicken enough to know that they put a black line through classic, which means spicy. So then I pulled out both sandwiches cause I told my coworker I'm going to be mad if they messed this up. So the lighting is not so good in a blacked out suv, but it's clear as day on both packaging. You see classic he asked for spicy. He bit in, and he said his was spicy. I said ok, I bit in mine, the joker was spicy. So I turn around and go back up there because I can't do spicy with my stomach... I go inside, and I can hear the female and male speaking Spanish and looking at me. Mind you they were helping two other guest which I know for sure one of them the order was wrong, so any way I was like I can't eat spicy I had my packaging and my coworker's in hand with the one bite in it... the lady gonna say it has a line through classic..... I'm like, so I don't work a popeys what's that mean . Needless to say, I received another sandwich one I could eat, but the customer service and their drive-thru speaker is trash. Also, the red beans and rice were salty. Also, if thats the way they mark spicy on a classic sandwich i would advise a sticker that say spicy ,special, or S something other then a dumb line that look like the paper was marked through. I don't order spicy food, so I really wouldn't know that. When I walked into the establishment, it did look clean, so I guess they had that going for them... sorry for the book, but it kinda made me upset. Plus, I was working, so it was a little frustrating going...

First the cashier was not honest saying they would get to me in one second. I went inside (braving the rainy weather with umbrella and all) to support the business and it took about 50 seconds for the person to come take my order even after the cashier had just assisted another customer in the store just prior to me. The cashier decided to walk to the back doing other things while I waited for that 1 second that was promised but instead took 50 seconds

I wanted the 3 pieces advertised on TV for $5. I just requested no thighs and I would prefer wing, leg and breast, just like I had successfully ordered the night before at another Popeye's in North Aurora. The North Aurora Popeye's just charged an extra 50 cents for the breast piece to fulfill the 3 pieces (wing and leg).

This Popeye's claimed that the 3 pieces really could not be of my choosing and they would only serve it with the thigh, wing and leg. I even offered to pay the extra 50 cents to substitute a thigh for a breast and the cashier refused so I left.

I left and went to another Popeye's in Lisle where there was no issue getting the breast, wing and leg and here/Lisle there was no extra charge.

So I would not recommend this Popeye's because apparently the customer is not always right even if the customer wants to reason with them here and pay a little extra just to earn the business they lost this day. no respect for the customer. Find another Popeye's which will honor the customer's not so unreasonable request.

Maybe this place will closed down like its sister restaurant next door, Burger King, has. I believe they have same parent company and the Burger King that is too close next door...

As much as I want to give this Popeyes the benefit of the doubt or keep giving it chances, they, most of the time mess up my orders. I ask for dark meat, they give me white. I ask for fries, they give me mash potatoes. I ask for mild, they give me spicy. If you go through training, whi onch I hope they do, how can these orders be messed up all the time? I try to check my order before I drive away, which today I did. I asked for fries and they gave me mash potatoes. I was able to get that changed but I get home and they gave me spicy when I asked for mild. Come on people. On top of it all prices went up and you still get bad service. I want to stop going there but I love Popeyes chicken and it's so close to home. Again I keep going to this location because I like the chicken and it is so close to home. My order was wrong again the last 2 times I went. I asked for the 3pc chicken spicy with rice and beans. Instead I get a combo with sandwiches and fries. I go back and explain to the girl, she gives me the chicken but with fries. I tell her I want the rice and beans but I do not understand a word she is saying. Here comes a short Hispanic lady that I have dealt with before, she has a nasty attitude, snatches the bag and puts in the rice and beans. There is never an apology or a thank you. They are not doing us a favor, we are doing them a favor because we go and spend our money there. The service is absolutely horrible and has always been since they opened. I might have to drive a little further to get good service. People do not go here if you want good service and your...
