Really glad to have a Japanese restaurant close to home now! We came in on a cold Friday night so we veered to the hot side of the menu - pork ramen and steak yakisoba. Both were delicious; I liked that the pork in my ramen was seared and was a bit more cooked than what I've used to getting. Overall a pleasant and filling dish. My only dings were the service and the entryway. We were sat relatively quickly, but then ignored for a good 15 minutes before a server came back to our table. The restaurant isn't huge, but I think having someone dedicated to being the host and answering the phone for take-out would help immensely (this job appeared to be split between the two servers). I'm not holding it against them since the place is new, and we do plan on going back despite this. My other issue was with it being winter, anytime anyone came in the front door (which was very frequently), you immediately felt the gust of cold air. If there was a door or something to make the entryway a "chamber" to block the air getting into the dining room, it would help a lot.

I decided to try this place with a friend after driving past it many times. I'm glad I did! The sushi was fresh and had a delicate texture, reflecting the quality of fish. The service was friendly and efficient and our order was accurate. The presentation was beautiful and colorful. We sat in a booth-table combination. The only slight issue was the close proximity to other guests when sitting along the wall seating. We will definitely be back!

Tried a few different dishes. Gyoza (5/5) amazing! Crab Rangoon (3/5) Didn’t find any crab, seemed like a generic, frozen cheese wonton, but the sauce was amazing! Nori Deluxe Fried Rice (2/5) Very unimpressed, rice was lacking flavor. I’ve never seen a teriyaki style sauce on meat for a Fried Rice dish. Also, the meat was not cooked into the rice, it was on top of the rice, and meat itself was very dry (Chicken and Steak was overcooked) Shrimp were okay; no seasonings, just sauce. Big let down. Ramen (4/5) Delicious! The broth was to die for, but they definitely need to even out the ratio, excessive amount of noodles and very little broth, ask for extra. All of the “toppings” had great flavor Dragon Roll (3/5) The asparagus wasn’t prepared well and was extremely crunchy in this roll, it definitely needed more cook time, we were able to push out the asparagus piece and enjoy the rolls, fantastic flavor

First visit, I’ll definitely give them another chance and try some other...
