I'm giving them 3 stars as an average of my experience buying (4 stars) and selling (2 stars) stuff there.

On the buying side, it's a pretty good experience. The store is big, clean, and pretty well-organized. They have a pretty good selection of stuff, especially books and the prices are better than you will get at a new book store. The staff was also very nice.

On the selling side, however, my experience was nowhere near as nice. On the plus side, it was easy to drop off items and get an offer quickly (within 2 days in my case). But, for me, this came nowhere near balancing out the negatives.

I get that that they have to get the best deals for themselves and so forth, but everything was so rigged against the seller that it felt like a total ripoff -- and annoying besides.

Of course, they will only buy the things they think they can sell (and this is totally reasonable), but they will only give you 10% (cash) or 20%(store credit) of what they think they can get for it, which seems like a ripoff.

Aside from that, they make it hard for you to not take their offer when it's made. When they text you that the offer is ready, they will not even tell you what it is. Sure, you can call in and ask, but why not just tell you in the text?

Then, if you don't respond within 24 hours, they will just decide for you in favor of the store credit. I get that there needs to be a time limit, but 24 hours?

Finally, they will not give you a breakdown of prices for individual items in the sale. You can't accept their offer on one thing and reject another. I realized after dropping off my order that it was important to me to get a decent price for one of my items if I was going to sell it. When they said they couldn't even tell me that, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I said no to the whole trade.

If you're selling stuff and just trying to get rid of something you inherited or whatever, this might work great for you. But if you don't have patience with an inflexible process that' completely rigged against you, you might want to...

Very, very rude and they will lie right to your face. They lied to me about the pricing for a vinyl record being exactly the same as I would buy at a retailer even though it's a used store and they were selling a used version of the vinyl with the pricing listed higher than it is online from the distro. I even showed them the website and they acted like I was crazy.

I also tried to drop off stuff to sell there and they couldn't go through everything but also wouldn't even give me a receipt for everything I was dropping off with them in case I don't like the estimate they provide whenever they get back to me. I explained I was dropping off about 50+ items and wanted to make sure I could get them back if I didn't like the estimate. The man behind the counter was very rude and very dismissive of any questions. I normally get treated very rudely in there and have even been followed around the store with the assumption that I am stealing, but the inventory makes me try to overlook the condescension.

The service is even worse as I asked them if they had a copy of a separate vinyl record on a separate occasion with a different associate, who wouldn't even look if up and just said they didn't have it. I asked if he could check the inventory in the system and he said no he was sure they didn't have it. While I was looking through the records I found it within 2 minutes. I won't return. Too disrespectful, prejudiced, and rude to overlook and it's...

Fradulent charges on my credit card! I was offered, by the employee at checkout, "free trial subscriptions" for magazines. Being a fan of the concept of the store, which among other things is all about nostalgia, and I figured what the hell, and signed up for Entertainment Weekly (I'm a big movie fan), and Wired Magazine. Not only are these not free, but I'm also receiving Sports Illustrated, which I absolutely did not sign up for. I'm guessing the employee filled out a third one to meet some sort of quota. Who knows. All I know is that I was never told that the credit card I was using to purchase some used items from the store would be used to eventually pay for a full subscription for these magazines once the trial period was over . I've had free trials for magazines many times in my life, and they typically send you a notice offering you a discounted rate for a full subscription, after a few months free. That's what I assumed I was signing up for, which is what they were counting on. As far as I know, I never authorized these transactions, and if I did, it was done in a very dishonest and borderline criminal manor. Or, I didn't authorize this at all and it is in fact criminal. I will let my credit card company and the authorities determine that. Making some phone calls first thing tomorrow. Will never visit this store again and will be warning everyone I know to stay away. Very...

This is really the only media store we go to. We have traded countless video games and full consoles here. Great selection of movies and music too. Good vinyl section (might have to search, but I always walk out with an album I wasn't looking for and a band I was), of course BOOKS, and collectables. Cool store. I have even enjoyed a free book or video from the free bin.

Wish I had more time. I only got through a quarter of the store. A little of everything, games, toys, etc. Shelves and shelves of books. I would be very surprised if they didn't have what you might be looking for. The best part they have a wall of books on clearance. 2 to 4$ they are not in any particular order, which I find adds to the charm and fun of it.

I like that this store offers a variety of books and things, from Naruto plushies to Harry Potter mugs to mangas to jigsaw puzzles and vinyls. They also have an area for kid's books and to buy back books, which is super cool. It was so much fun going round and seeing what was available. I'd definitely visit here more often.
