Imagine jumping into a real-life version of Fortnite’s Creative mode—no controller, no screen, just your squad and your own body. That’s what Activate Games feels like. It’s like stepping into a high-tech arena where you become the player, dodging lasers, hitting targets, and racing against the clock for high scores. Think of it as a live-action minigame mashup, kind of like Party Royale but with real sweat.
At Activate, each room is like a Fortnite map drop. You walk into a different "zone" and pick a challenge, just like selecting a game mode in Fortnite. Some rooms are about speed—like Zone Wars but with your legs. Others test accuracy, like aiming drills in Fortnite’s Aim Trainer maps. There’s even strategy stuff, like puzzle rooms that feel like editing courses but IRL, using your brain instead of your keyboard binds.
You play in squads (or solo queue if you’re brave). Each game lasts a couple of minutes—short matches, like Fortnite’s Team Rumble—but you’re grinding XP (well, points) to climb the leaderboard. And just like Fortnite Creative, you can replay challenges, try new difficulty levels, or attempt to beat your squad’s high score.
What makes Activate different from your usual couch gaming session is that you’re actually moving. Jumping, sprinting, hitting lit-up panels—it’s like Fortnite but in full-body mode. It’s kinda like doing a deathrun, but instead of rage-quitting after falling 30 times, you just try again and laugh with your squad.
In Fortnite terms, Activate Games is the real-life crossover event you didn’t know you needed. It’s part fitness, part gaming, part team strategy—and it’s all action. No reboot vans here, though—once you’re out of breath, it’s GGs until...
Read moreOmg! I can not describe how much fun we have had tonight at activate. We were greeted by Lexi, who helped us set up and explained the premise of the wristbands and sign in process. Eron was our trainer. They helped us navigate the actual games. Each game has multiple choices. For example: we started on the grid game. It had a couple of options, like touching all the blue squares and don't touch the red, following the pattern, etc. They also have co-op vs. competitive, which was a lot of fun! We mainly stayed on co-op because we were on a date, but I can absolutely see us pummeling each other in the competitive mode. Our favorites include the laser game, where you had to dodge the lasers. The hoops game was another favorite, and you had to answer trivia questions by making baskets. The hoops game also included a Simon says game that was so much fun and extremely creative because the basket color would randomly change. We spent 90 minutes there and received 44 coins, which we were able to trade 10 coins for a keychain that gives us 10% off the next visit. There were tons of prizes like a personal wristband, merch, and a ps5. There is also a local scoreboard that determines the reigning champs of the yearly visits. James helped us check out and reminded us to also come back on Tuesday for double coins. This was so much fun, and the great cardio was an added bonus for a gamer like me. We will absolutely be back as much as we can and will be bringing friends next time....
Read moreI just left Activate and had to take a moment to share how AMAZING my experience was! From the moment we walked in, the energy was high and the staff was welcoming. We were helped by Dylan and Jonny, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. They were super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable.
Dylan and Jonny took the time to explain everything clearly, made sure we felt confident with the games, and brought so much positive energy to the whole experience. It honestly felt like they were just as excited for me to have fun as we were. Plus, we were visiting from out of town and made visiting Colorado an unforgettable time.
The games themselves were fun and calls for you to be active, so get ready to sweat and move around! They were challenging, immersive, and definitely unique. Perfect for a date night, birthday party, night out, team building, etc…
Highly recommend Activate Aurora if you’re looking for something fun and active to do—and if you’re lucky enough to be helped by Dylan and Jonny, you’re in for...
